You know what they say about the best laid plans…….!
Rick’s tendonitis in his foot/ankle flared up again last night and he was in is so much agony this morning that I told him that there was no way we were going to Sea World or Aquatica today. So much for saving $ on the tickets by buying them in the UK before they came away. Oh well….that’s life.
This was the view from our window this morning and I thought I would share it with you.
By 10.00am, Rick was managing to walk, so we decided to pick up the few items left on our list that we had left for after the park. Rick stayed mostly in the car as it was just a case of me hopping out of the car when we arrived at our destination.
The last stop was Downtown Disney. I had broke our Mickey soap dispenser before we came away and we wanted to pick up a replacement. Unfortunately, that particular shop at DTD had been closed down and a cast member said that I would have to try Disney.com. I also liked this lamp that was in our apartment, so I might see if I can get one of these too.
We had a late lunch at the Earl of Sandwich which was delicious. Rick had a meatball sub and I had a Mediterranean tuna wrap. Both sandwiches were extremely filling and very good value. We had a glance around the shops whilst we was there, but didn’t buy anything. I then suggested that we take in a movie, so we drove round to Westside. Surrogate was playing at 5.10pm and we was in plenty of time to catch it. This was Rick’s choice and as usual I hated it. Rick said it wasn’t that bad. I did want to take a ride on the Flight of Characters, but due to high winds the rides had been suspended. They will try tomorrow.
Back at the hotel and it’s time to pack. It takes us a good couple of hours, but it is finally done. Rick’s ankle has really swollen up now, so he takes himself off to bed, whilst I get the blogged typed up and published.
