Alfredo's????

In choosing a restaurant from the World Showcase, my family decided on Alfredo's in Italy. Since I listen to Inside the Magic, I knew for a while that the restaraunt was going to be taken over by a different company.

Our reservations are for the 7th of September, which I just found out is the day the restaurant reopens under the new management -- should I take the chance, or try something else??

Hi Nicole,

I feel in the same boat as you. I origionally booked Garden Grill but since that decided to eat in Italy. Now that I've learned that a new italian restaurant will be there I'm not sure If I should book there or not. Pasta would be nice but I'm also now considering Le Cellier. It would be nice to see some kind of sample menu beforehand. Do you know what the new restaurant will be called?

I just called and canceled Garden Grill and have decided to go to O'Hana's. I've heard many wonderful things about it and there is something on the menu for everyone in my party.

The group taking over for Alfredo's certainly has some impressive credentials. I'd keep the reservation and be one of the first to try it out.

You might want to double check your ADR's. I called Disney 2x to make a reservation for Alfredo's and both times, the reservation agent told me that ADR's were not being accepted for the new restaurant. I don't want to worry you, but I think it might be worth the 2 minutes it takes to double check with Disney.

Was told the same thing when trying for Dec. We want to try the new place. No booking yet is what I was told about a week ago. Have you called more recently than that?

I have an ADR for the 3rd week in August.
I'm a little worried that they might be low on food (since they are closing the end of August).

Italy never wowed me or my family (I guess because we always have home-cooked Italian). When the CS told me they were closing, and how famous they were for their pasta, I just said "really? It never struck me as that." I'm more interested in what's replacing it.
