Alfredo's?

Just checked allears and I see it...

The Disney website may not be up to date with 2007 information yet.

That's what I did, with regard to Chefs de France. Worst case, after you check-in, if it isn't listed in the list of restaurants participating in the Dining Plan, you can call central reservations from your room and switch your reservation to something else.

Don't get me wrong, we've done DDP and Alfredo's on our last two trips (this most recent trip, it was free!), but the marriage appears strained.
.
On our recent Labor Day Weekend visit, an Evening EMH many of whom had free DDP CS credits, strained the somewhat ambitious service of Alfredo's mightily. This place might be better off trying to be a "Signature" restaurant but then, I believe, most diners would seek out a Tony's equivalent instead.

Fwiw, there were a lot of NorthEasters' there during this time and most of us love our Italian food. Still there was a big "gap" between what Alfredo's was trying to be and what they actually delivered given the big crowds that wanted moderately-priced (free DDP!) Italian chow.

At the same time, a DDP user can feel nickel & dimed at Alfredo's by the extra charges and other revenue enhancers. For example, I was "encouraged" to order a dessert when I really didn't want one because the restaurant and servers are compensated by Disney when they put one on the bill. We didn't use our "free drink" but were charged separately, extra for the liter-size of sparkling water. I guess that's fair, but I didn't feel it was so magical when the waitress asked if I wanted my change back after paying $8 (including tax & automatic 18% gratuity) for our San Pellogrino. You bet I got my change back!

My wife loves the Fettucine, but I believe it might be a better dining value and service experience in New York at Rockefeller Center.

I have eaten here before and love the food and We will be on our honeymoon so I feel it is a must! I thought Dessert was included in the plan we are paying for our DDP and do not want to pay extra if this is going to be the case I will eat elsewhere!!!!! Maybe we should not do the DDP if it is this difficult!:confused3

Thats really a personal decision, but for us the ddp is awesome and I wouldn't do it any other way. I love planning ressies and don't mind taking some time out for ts. Also, we have never had nothing less than amazing food and service at Alfredos.

I may be moving around some ADR's due to Alfedo's NOT being on the 2007 DDP list on the Disney site. I've noticed a lot of World Showcase rest. are missing except Le Celllier. So I was going to book Alfredo's for my Dec. trip and Le Cellier in March when we return just in case it is dropped from DDP. I wanted the try San Angels Inn, but that too is gone. Anyone know for sure if the DDP list on Disney's website for 2007 is set in stone???
I need to make my ADR's and this info would be very helpful!

Am now thinking all those reservations I've made are going to become a big, complicated mess...Yikes! :scared1:

Probably not. Rather, by January, the 2007 restaurants list should be complete, and you won't have any concern at all (unless you want to be concerned...)

WE asked when we called to make our ADR and the person told us they were NOT removing Alfedo's from the DP.
