Finished making my ADRs for our July trip - or so I thought. We've never eaten at Alfredo's so I thought I would give it a try. It will be me, DH, 2 dds (7 and 8), ds (5) and in-laws. Now I'm rethinking that maybe we should try Biergarten instead. I was there once but it was about 17 years ago! Which one do you prefer? Thanks.

YIKES!! Reservation time already?! I still didn't book our room. I better get on it! I would vote Alfredos just because the food is an easier crowd pleaser. And we had a nightmare last time in Biergarten- got stuck with a number 1 jerk and his family- they were horrible- cursing, yelling, running around..The manager warned them and they did eventually get thrown out! but that experience has scared me away from Biergarten. I'll sit with my own family thank you very much.

They told me the seating is for 8 at a table, and since we'll have 7 I didn't think it would be an issue. I definitely want to sit with my own family (well not really but I have to LOL). How was the food at Biergarten? What a jerk you got seated with. I guess you have to be pretty bad to get kicked out of a restaurant in Disney!

Yes I made our ADRs and didn't even get all our first picks on times and such. This dining plan has made a lot more people do ADRs. We're staying at the Beach CLub this time so we're focusing a lot on Epcot restaurants. Hopefully the boy character meal will be announced soon so we can finally do a meal with Buzz. I think ds (5) is starting to get "Princessed out".

I have never eaten at the Biergarten but will on my next trip. My daughter and I ate at Alfredo's a few weeks ago. The food was very good but extremely expensive. $60 for lunch (including tip). If I had been travelling with several children, I'm not so sure I would have eaten there, unless money wasn't an object. Le Cellier was absolutely delicious and I plan on doing than again and again. We had lunch there one day and tried to get in for dinner later in the week but there was no chance without reservations.

for a leisurely meal (some people might find the service slow), and good food I would do Alfredos. Biergarten the food is decent, but it is buffet, and there is a chance you may be seated with another family. But the music etc, is very entertaining especially for the little ones. My now three year old DD still talks about and still remembers the drinking toasts that they have everyone do.

The Biergarten hands down. The food is good, the entertainment is good. I am a VERY picky eater & my DS has several food allergies, but we can still find things we like/can eat there a lot easier than trying to order from a menu. IMHO, it is more kid friendly. Good Luck on your planning & have a great trip!!!

I really enjoy both, so I may not be much help. My last trip to Alfredo's resulted in outstanding service, and not just by our waiter. My friend's and I each had about fifteen cokes by our elbows when all was said and done. Likewise, my last trip to the Biergarten was truly memorable. I liked meeting the complete strangers my party ended up with at our table. Our dining partners were reticent at first, but the meal ended with all of us doing the polka! I made some friends on that trip!
It really comes down to which atmosphere you want: a little quieter and more reserved at Alfredo's or a lot more participatory and jolly at Biergarten. No matter what you decide, have a great trip!

I agree with SeaChristine, they're both great dinner choices, but they're very different from each other. The food at Alfredo's is wonderful, and the dining room has an elegant quality. Your bill for a party of 7 at Alfredo's will be much higher than Biergarten- so if you choose to do the dining plan you would get a much better value there.

We took my parents and brother to Biergarten in Oct. We were a party of 7 and had a table to ourselves. The food was good (and my husband and I aren't into sausages and kraut at all). Our kids (ds 6 and dd 4) had a great time watching the show- we all did! It's a lot of fun! :) They also found plenty of food they liked at the kid buffet.

Don't count on a leisurely meal at Alfredo's! We ate there last week and were so rushed that I doubt we will go there again (and I used to really like Alfredo's)!!!!!

Although I like both restaurants, I would chose Biergarten. Alfredo's is pretty expensive and food wise I think Biergarten has more options. Plus, the entertainment at Biergarten is great!

I should have mentioned before that we're on the dining plan so I'm not worried about the price. I was more concerned over the bad reviews lately. I also thought that since my in laws were coming this trip it would be a good time to try Biergarten since we'll fill up the whole table ourselves.
