Alerts aren’t updating?

I’m not sure if this is just me, but my “alerts” aren’t updating…have noticed this issue over the past few days. Sometimes I get no new alerts at all, and have to go to my “watched” list to look for post updates on threads I am following, and sometimes they update many hours, or even a full day later. Pretty strange, and have never experienced this before. Any thoughts?
