The fireworks schedule on the boards says wishes will be at 7:00 pm the 9th. I had read some posts on here from other members that said there would be no wishes on non-peak days. Since the info was conflicting, I asked disney directly, and they said there will be no fireworks on the 9th. We were supposed to go on the 9th, but I had decided to go the 8th instead. I don't know if they will have them on the 8th, since I didn't ask them about that date.
Shouldn't someone update the schedule, or does disney change the schedule around often, and it is hard to keep it accurate?? I was looking forward to the fireworks I don't know if we will catch 'em on sun. now either. I'm BUMMED. I love fireworks.

Just thought I would give feb 9th goers a heads up.

According to Disney.com (their official website), the fireworks is still scheduled for the 9th at 7pm.

Oh, and also on for the 8th at 7pm.

;)

I know I see that. I am just saying that I E-mailed disney directly and asked them, and they said that there was NO wishes fireworks on the 9th of feb. I would tend to believe info given from them directly. Just trying to help.

Dang! For all I know, they can close all the parks on the week I'm there.

(well, it won't be that bad, you get my drift)

:)

yeah I know what you mean. I wish they would put the schedules for everything directly on their website, and keep it updated weekly. This would take the guesswork out of everyones trip planning. We live here in florida, and go to the parks in the off season . I get sick of not getting to see the night time shows beacause of that. If they aren't going to offer the night shows all of the time, then I think it would be nice to have some sort of a discount for ALL visitors that will not be able to see them. You know, like take 3 or 4 dollars off the ticket price.I dunno I am just reaaally bummed and disappointed. BUT, I will be there this Sun., so, HEY! Cool! O.K. I am over it now. lol.
Anyone else goin' this weekend, Have fun. I will.

:teeth: At least I got to see the wishes video!

According to the Disney Cast Portal, "Wishes" is still scheduled for 7pm on Feb. 9. It's scheduled for every single day in February. Seems odd that it would be cancelled ONLY on 2/9.

February 1-2, 4-6, 8-9, 11-12, 25-27, 29 -- 7pm
February 3, 7, 10, 13, 18-20, 22-24 -- 8pm
February 14-17, 21, 28 -- 9pm

I don't know if you mean to but you are coming across as very defensive. No one is questioning your info, just repeating conflicting info from other Walt Disney World "official sources"
Have a magical day! :sunny:

:D
Oh noo, I didn't mean to sound defensive. I myself was just getting very frustrated with all of the conflicting info.
:teeth:
:teeth: :teeth:

terrribly sorry if anyone thought I was being rude in any way.;)

Man! Will I be mad! I got my ps at O'Hana's specifically arranged around wishes....thanks for the heads up!!

Thanks for the heads up. We had planned to see Wishes on Monday but I will check into the schedule when we arrive. Sounds like we might need to see it over the weekend just to be safe??

Thanks again!!

As WDSearcher stated I think you were given miss information in your return Email.... The above info is directly from the Cast Member information web site (as well as the cast member weekly flyers). I work in MK and have heard NOTHING about Wishes being cancelled for Feb 9th. My work schedule is still based off of 7pm Wishes and I work in a location that closes early due to Firework fall out...if they were to have canceled the show I would think we would have been extended.

Sorry that I was given misinformation. I guess I will post no more tips, as it has only made me feel very un-helpful.

Sorry, was only trying to help with what I was told.

:(

Don't feel that way.

You received the info directly from Disney's mounth, per-se. How did you know that the info you obtained was wrong?

C'mon, just join my silly grin -> :teeth:

I don't think that anyone was trying to make you feel that way, I think they were trying to make you feel better if anything (I know that was why I posted). You had/have no way of knowing if the information was wrong. So you post what you find out and people reply to it. In this case it appears that the information that you were issued was incorrect which should make the CM who replied to your email feel badly...NOT you.

I think that the replies you received where just people that were trying to help you plan your trip. As of right now all CM info shows that Wishes is everynight in February so, who knows where the person that was replying to the email was looking.

Don't ever feel bad aboutp posting that is what the boards are here for... to ask questions, post comments and get responses. Your comments are always welcomed as are everyones :) :) :)

Our last night in WDW in October we ate at CG and planned it around the fireworks for that night. Well, we had a huge wait when we checked-in for our PS (and we got there early so the wait was even longer) so we got a table in the lounge area that was right next to the window. We had requested a window table to see the fireworks, but the CM told us no fireworks that night. He showed us the memo he had received stating that there were no fireworks at MK that evening. I was skeptical as we had seen them scheduled for that night, but figured he must be right. So we told him first available table and went back to our window table in the lounge to wait. No sooner did we all sit down than then fireworks started! We couldn't understand how Disney could misinform one of the main restaurants people go to to watch the fireworks. The CM came over and apologized and then got us a table immediately, even though we told him it wasn't a big deal, we had seen the show from MK the night before, but he really felt bad about giving us wrong info. So it appears that sometimes Disney really has no idea what's going on.
