Hey Folks,
Anyone try Ale & Compass yet? Interesting to get your feedback. We disliked Captains Grille for some time, so hopefully this is a much better experience. I saw some pics and liked the interior much more than what I thought was a very "casino-floor" type environment if that makes any sense...

oh my god!!! We stayed at Polynesian in October, we are normally at Beach or Yacht Club. We came home and immediately said next time we go back to Yacht Club and now with all this...CAN'T WAIT!!! The new lounge alone is enough for me...

I had been planning to try it for lunch one day during my trip, but the very limited gluten-free options for dinner left me less than confident there would be much choice for me (I don’t do fish) at lunch so I’m going with a different option. :(

I had made a breakfast ADR for Ale & Compass for next Spring hoping that they still had either the breakfast buffet or the dark chocolate waffles and eggs benedict. I just cancelled it.

I might hit the lounge at some point though.

No eggs Benedict or buffet :( will be cancelling our ressie too . Plus the decor looks a little too sterile.
I loved the colors and the murals that were in Captains grille.

i might try dinner as the menu was a little more appealing.

So excited to have a lounge in the hotel we will be staying at open at 11:30am! We are usually at the Boardwalk Villas and there is not much in terms of quick food and drinks available when we arrive late morning. Staying at YC in late January and just moved my MK FP a bit later so we can enjoy snacks and drinks when we arrive from the airport before heading to the parks. Hopefully the hours won’t change before then.

Josh's review looks promising. I think the interior fits the Yacht Club better. I could understand comments on it being sterile, but for me it seems to work. Breakfast has never been a big thing for me, so I never tried the buffet at CG, but the fish & chips and burgers look pretty decent at the A&C. I think that if you are looking for a more formal dinner, obvious choice is Yachtsman's. For a quick(er) burger, A&C seems it will be higher quality than Beaches' & Cream where without a reservation, its usually a pain to get into (to sit). But if your still Jones-ing ice cream, it's a viable option after the meal at the take-out window. As you can probably tell, plan is forming for next week when we'll be in town...

I’d love to see a review of the breakfast, but I have not found anything yet
