We are flying in on a Saturday late afternoon in Mid August and staying at the Boardwalk. We would like to eat at Ale & Compass for dinner (for 2) around 7 pm. We don't want to make reservations in advance, because we might have a flight delay. From others experience, is this a busy restaurant, where reservations are a must, or do they sometimes have table available for walkup?

Thanks in Advance.

My advice would be to check when your flight lands and see what's available for ADR's on the same day. Availability can change from day-to-day. As of right now there's no availability for dinner tonight or tomorrow so while it isn't a hard ADR to get, it does seem that it books up occasionally.

My experience is that even the less popular restaurants start to have limited availability, especially at common dinner times, once the others are booked up.

If you walk up and find there is no availability, they do have a lounge (but it's lighter fare/ apps/ snacks) or the Crew's Cup Lounge does have some dinner items as well.

Another vote for checking for an ADR once you land . Other options in the area would be Big River Grille or ESPN in addition to the lounges mentioned above.

As of a couple of weeks ago it was possible to order off the full Ale & Compass menu in the lounge so that could be another option.
