Ale & Compass or Mama Melrose?

Staying at the Yacht Club...
We have the DXDP & need to use one more credit -
We’ve never experienced either of these, I know Ale & Compass is relatively new -

Anyone have experiences at either of these & recommendations about which you would choose? We will be doing lunch.

I did not like my meal at Mama Melrose, but it was worth it for the fantasmic seats. If you aren't going to the show I'd go with Ale and Compass

I'm one of those people who loves Mama Melrose

Granted, I'm from SC where our only Italian restaurant is Olive Garden, but we have tons of "home cooking" places (hence why I HATE 50's Prime Time!) I could also eat a bowl of pasta for dinner at least 3 times a week

I think it depends on your expectations... I'd rank it way better than Olive Garden (food doesn't taste microwaved at least), but probably not near as good as big city Italian restaurants (not that I've been to any lol)

I love Mama Melrose. The chicken parm is delicious and we have always had good experiences there. However, if you are used to really good italian food it might be a little underwhelming.
