For several years this was our Go To restaurant! We tried this year and were very disappointed. I think service was part of it. Christina was very slow (meal for 4 took over 2 hours to arrive). I have always liked the Papparedella Pasta with Chicken. I asked for sauce on the side because of a sodium restriction, DH ordered New York Strip. My meal was covered with sauce. When I mentioned it she said it was very light and left. DH steak arrived lukewarm. It was actually a manager who came to the table to ask if we had our appetizers. We told him we had them, one hour ago, and were waiting for our dinners. Almost immedicately dinner arrived. When she cleared the dishes she had to have noticed I barely touched my dinner, but said nothing. For the four or us, our bill was over 135.00. Overall, we might try again, but since we have a car will probably go to Columbia at Celebration or Seasons 52 in Dr. Phillips. The Boathouse was excellent!

Thanks for posting this. Currently planning a BC trip and because we've enjoyed A&C in the past I was trying to fit it into our schedule. Now I won't worry about it. There are plenty of other good places for dinner in that area.

Just went to Ale & Compass last night and the food is terrible. Service was fine with a very charming waitress. We ordered the parker rolls and the short rib flatbread. The rolls do not seem fresh baked. If they are they taste like they are store bought right out a package. The spreads that go with them are nasty. The bacon jam and pub cheese in particular were bad. The flatbread was overpeppered with red pepper flakes that the short rib was overpowered and the dipping au jus was flavorless
The Seafood Pot Pie has always been my favorite but they have changed to just a flaky crust at the bottom of the dish instead of the puff pastry top. Icould live with that change but the dish itself was nothing more than a cup of oversalted potato soup with one scallop. There is supposed to be shrimp, lump crab, and pieces of the catch of the day. Mahi Mahi. None of that. It used to be an amazing dish. Since A&C reopened a few years ago the food quality is poor. The waitress did remove from the bill after i sent it back ans surprisingly the manager did not come over. Skip this place

We did the A&C Lounge a few weeks ago and was mighty impressed. We got the rolls with the delicious bacon jam, citrus/lemon butter and cheese spread. We also got the cauliflower appetizer/offering. It was so good. The rolls were fresh and hot with our server giving us a couple of extras. I really enjoyed this lounge.
