Ale and Compass Breakfast Timing?

I've gotten breakfast at the YC QS many times and it's pretty good. I like A&C, too, but it's not worth stressing over when you are trying to get to a VIP tour. I, personally, would plan on getting YC QS when they open at 7 am so you can have a more leisurely arrival at DHS. Why start your day stressed out?

I really enjoy Ale & Compass but, unfortunately, would never describe it as quick -- particularly if the Yacht Club is hosting a convention. That timing would be way too tight for me. Honestly, I'd start walking over at 7:30 for an 8:30 tour just to be sure I was there and through the gate, so I didn't spend any of my valuable tour time in the line to get in ... but I am a worrier. Rosa Mexicano over at the Swan looks to open for breakfast at 7 (I don't think they take reservations for breakfast). Still too tight timewise for my taste but would potentially give you +30 min if you're intent on a table service breakfast to get everyone fueled and ready for a big day, which I get. I've heard their breakfast is great. Is adjusting your tour start time later an option? If not, I'd probably go to the bakery in France the night before and get ham & cheese croissants and fruit for breakfast in the room. Whatever you choose, hope you have a great time with the tour!!

We have never remotely had to allocate 2 hours for leaving to get to the park.
That's because if you're talking about from your room to table service restaurant to park:
  • 5 minutes from your room to the restaurant (assuming you're staying at the same resort as the restaurant)
  • 5 minutes at least to be seated
  • 5-10 minutes to order
  • 10-15 minutes for food to arrive
  • 30 minutes to eat and pay
  • 30-45 minutes to get bus/transportation and get to the park
  • depending on the line for security 10-20 minutes to get through security and scan into the park
  • 10 minutes to get from front gate to wherever you're going
    • total: 95-140 minutes.
It depends on the time of day and other factors like how busy the restaurant is, what the line-ups are like at security, if you get pulled aside to have your bags checked, the length of the line to enter, etc. But it absolutely can take 2 hours from the time you leave your room, eat at a table service restaurant and then get into a specific place in the park.

Ah! You didn’t mention you meant the two hours included dining.

It is your VIP Tour ....why not just push the start time of your tour to 9 or 9:30?

We had an early breakfast I remember our waiter took a while to take our main dish order.
