Second, we have Albertsons on every corner here in San Diego and none of them are doing "Monoploy". We did have "pots and pans" green stamps promotion back in the Fall through Jan. But no Monoploy.

Reason being, there are two seperate chains operating under the "Albertsons" banner (and it does get confusing, since both share the same logo, etc.).

The "Monopoly" chain is privately-owned (and has a license to use the Albertsons name) and operates/operated in Florida, Northern California, DFW Metroplex, the Rockies, and the Southwest. Their website is www.albertsonsmarket.com/

Albertsons stores in all other parts of the country are part of the Supervalu family of stores (Jewel-Osco, Acme, Shop n' Save, etc.). That company's website is www.albertsons.com
