Albertson's grocery - delivery service?

Nothing made my trip more wonderful in DW than when I ordered from Garden Gorcer and had it delivered.

Now I found Albertson's for DL. has anyone ever had delivery from them? Would you recommend anyone else? I'm not renting a car so anyone that delivers is preferred. We're staying at the HOJO is there any place within walking distance to pick up groceries?

Albertsons no longer delivers, sadly. They stopped that pretty early in 2009. Try Vons.com (or Safeway.com - it's the same company) for grocery delivery. Lots of DIS-ers use them for deliveries while they are in Anaheim, and I use them all the time for home deliveries.

Really ... I was just on their site, why would they have a shopping cart then. Or is that they don't deliver to the hotels? Well it is what it is, I will look at the other sites. Thanks so much for the input.

Unless Albertsons has suddenly started delivery again (and I have not received any notification of this, and I was one of their home delivery customers until early 2009 when they stopped doing it), then I think the reason you see the little shopping cart icon is because you can still place orders online for pick-up. Some folks do that to avoid having to shop in the actual store. They order online and then they go into their local Albertsons to pick up what they ordered, and it saves time, I suppose. Vons.com regularly delivers to people staying at DLR hotels or nearby hotels like Hojo's, so try that. They are very used to servicing customers who are Disneyland visitors.

I am not sure about a store next to Hojo's - I never stay at Hojo's, and I never pay attention to stores in the area. We usually just go straight to DLR and whichever of the DLR hotels we stay at or we go home.

They have the shopping cart on their site because you can order ahead of time and pick it up, (at some places, at least), but they no longer have a delivery service anywhere. We were sad to see them stop delivery but we used Vons on our last trip to DLR and it worked out fine.

We used them last spring. They delivered to Hojos, front desked accepted the delivery and it was waiting for us when we checked in (milk in their fridge)
we plan to use them again this spring

Just to clarify for the OP, Vons.com and Safeway.com are the same thing/same company, not two different services.

I just wanted to add that while the Hojo has a little store of its own, there is no place to pick up groceries within walking distance of the hotel. If you don't have a car, delivery is your best bet!
