Hi..I just made reservations for my (then) six y.o. son in May for the Albatross Cruise pirate: Is he too young to go alone :confused3 after I hung up the phone I got a queasy tummy :earseek: I'm sure he will be thrilled but mommy tends to be overprotective :scared1: :rolleyes1 Any imput?

Thanks, Lori

Our 5 year old just did it this eummer by himself. he had a blast! The CM's are great. Dont give it another thought...except maybe which grown up breakfast your going to have while he's gone.

Thanks Stacy!! I'm sure a nice adult breakfast would be great...but his almost three year old brother will be with us so we will probably wander over to Epcot for a bit. Guess mommy will just have to get used to the idea her little man is growing up! ;)

Your son will be fine. My 5 year old went this May to the Pirate cruise at GF. He loved it. Go a little early, and if your son is a little shy, try to match him up with another little guy while waiting on the pier. Another little boy was shy and his mother nudged him to talk with my son (big time talker!). They were fast friends by the time they had to board the boat. Huge grins on their face when they got off the boat.

My son is now 6 years old and can't wait to go again in December. We have him booked for the Beach Club Albatross cruise.

My kids went this year at six and seven, and the seven year old was really too old for it. He just didn't have the same joy he had when he did it at five. He enjoyed it, but another few months would have made it "hokey." If you are going to do it at all, I'd do it soon.

I have a 41/2 year old daughter who loves pirates, would you recommend this for her? Will she be the only girl??? Thanks.

My kids have gone twice. I have a son and a daughter. The first time was the one at the Grand Floridan - more kids there and a little less than half of them were girls. On this last one out of the Y&BC there were two other little girls and about nine boys.

The youngest kid is usually around four (I think that's the minimum age now). Most kids are probably five and six. On each cruise there was one kid who stuck out as "older" - probably nine?

That will be my kid :-) He will have just turned 7 at the time...but he looks 9 or 10. He will love it though...plus his brother wouldn't go without him!

My girls 6 and 4 went this past October. They were the only girls that day! But they had a blast.
