Alaskan Cruise... When to go?????

My daughter and I just returned from our first cruise on the Dream! It was so great we already booked for next year!

My husband has never gone away with us on vacation, never flown. He really doesnt do well with crowds and lines. HOWEVER, he actually mentioned possibly an Alaskan Cruise!!! I was like, say what? So Im jumping on it!
Can anyone tell me when would be the BEST time to go? I have no idea about weather/climate changes there or when is a good or not so good time to look into going.

So Im hoping you all can help me out here! Also keep praying he will actually take a vacation with us!

Alaskan cruise weather is a crap shoot. People have had good weather in May and Sept and bad weather in July and vise versa. The weather in the Pacific Northwest is usually the best in July and August. The prices on the cruises generally reflect that.
