Alaska on the Disney Wonder

Thank you for all the great parts of your TR, I am hooked.

Looking over your embarkation day, it looks like you boarded on deck 4, not deck 3 (you entered above the atrium, not on the same level as Tritons).

They still announce you , right?

No we definitely boarded on Deck 3 - straight into the atrium in front of Tritons.

I think I see how you thought that but there are two boarding ramps at Canada Place - one for passengers and one for crew - I took a picture just before we boarded looking along the ship which shows the other ramp. The crew board onto Deck 4 and the passengers onto Deck 3.

And yes, they still announce your arrival.

Ah, got it. Thanks for posting all the cruise terminal photos, that is the part I am most curious about. Do you have a TR about debark day coming?

I love the part about the lady in customs bad mouthing DCL.

You are a nicer person than I am, if some old lady was bad mouthing DCL, I might have to come back with "Ahhh, Norweigan Cruise Line, newlywed and nearly dead, I wonder if they have a mortuary on board". I know, not very Disney like :rolleyes1

You have me convinced to not even bother with Deck 10 on Tracy Arm Day, I am going to find a nice place on Deck 4 to watch the scenery.

Looking forward to the rest of your report!

What a great trip report! You have included so many helpful tips, and as this is my first cruise ever this summer, it has been most helpful! Thanks, too, for posting all of the Navigators. I learned a lot by looking at those, too. Glad you have fabulous memories of the trip and am thankful you took the time to share with us!

Thank you both for your kind words.

As this was my first cruise too, I am trying to include as much information as I can remember. But the one thing I would stress is to "not stress" about it. Once onboard everything was so easy. I tried to include as much as I could about Canada Place as you never really get to see many photos of it at all.

I am slowly getting through the rest of the days - I had hoped to get it done by Christmas but clearly that didn't happen. I will update here though each time I post something. :)

Yerilee was my stateroom host last may, I thought he did a wonderful job. I may have missed it, did you tell us what room you were in? I've stayed in 7626 previously but have 7622 booked for Alaska this August.

Wow, what a wonderfull tripreport so far and beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I can not wait till june when we are going to do the Alaska cruise :cool1:

Did they just not stamp your passport because they don't typically? Did you ask? I thought I've read that some people have said they got their's stamped. I hate how many places no longer stamp passports! I really want a stamp in my passport :rotfl2: and my son's has just been renewed so it will be pretty empty sans the one we get flying into Vancouver haha.

They don't stamp your passports at all - it was a very quick process. I still managed to get three stamps on this trip - landing in LA, landing in Vancouver and then at US immigration at Canada Place.

Fabulous info!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. We are cruising in June so this will all be very helpful.

What a soggy day! Think I'll be adding rain pants to my packing list. Great trip report - very informative!!

Thanks again, beautiful report and amazing pictures! :thumbsup2

Another 106 days to go for our Alaska cruise :cool1:

Your pictures are stunning. Can I ask what camera you used? Can't wait to start planning my AK cruise.

The photos were either taken with a Canon Powershot S110 or a Canon EOS 6D.

My videos were shot using a Canon Powershot S95.

And yes, I have too many cameras but it was so worth taking a good camera to Alaska.
