Hi Everyone!

We are DH, DW and DD14 and will be joining you on our first trip on the Wonder and our first trip to Alaska! This will be DCL #8 for us (checking out the Dream in June for #7)

Wow, 90 pages on this thread already - guess I've got a bit of reading to do to catch up! I noticed lots of great info on the first thread, including the cruise logo! Fantastic! Can someone add us to the FE list?

I love our cruise logo! Whomever designed it, nice job! Can I get a high-res copy of it PM'd to me? I want to try to digitize it on my embroidery machine. I know I can just copy it from someone's sig, but it would be best if I could get an original.

Welcome and this is also my first time to Alaska and on the Wonder...all our other DCL cruises were on the Magic If you look on page one you have been added

So we are getting closer and closer and I still have to make one more ressie for my hotel and I just keep putting it off. I need to make them for Whistler and the night we arrive in Vancouver.....I have it for the 3 nights before the cruise already however.....UGH talk about procrastinating....

Can you please check also to see it I have the same list you do? I have put a "FE" next to the names I had so far that wanted to do it...your list may be different.....thanks for heading that up

Gulp, I just booked our airfare on Delta from MSP for the cruise because it was within about $50 of the cheapest price I have seen on the flights we wanted.

Anyone else drooling over all of the Dream pics? I would love to do a quickie on the Dream in May, but I'm sure it won't happen.

We have a snow day here on Long Island. All schools are closed. The sun is out now where I live but farther out on LI it is still snowing heavily. I am now officially sick of the "white stuff".

We are flying into Seattle from MSP because the flights to Vancouver were just too expensive and it gave us a good reason to check out Seattle.

Were flying on Delta also....for the 4 of us from Ca. it was as much and as many hrs to fly from San Diego as it was to fly from NY...unbelievable we paid $1222.46 for the 4 of us to fly into Vancouver....

And as for the Dream...yup would love to be on that to

We were going to do that but didnt want to hassle with it....we just want to get where we want to get ASAP and home when we are going and done. We decided it was worth the extra cash just to do that.

AHHHHH but it is sooooo nice when it is coming down....and loved those school days off when i was younger....would wake up to it snowing or already had snowed and waited to hear that sirens go off from the fire station letting us know school was closed...than we would jump up and have a great smile on our face....

living here is SD we dont have snow days off...but we do get Fire days off...and with all the rain we have had and how greener than green everything is when it starts to dry up and it will than all the pyromaniacs will be out and we once again will be sent into a blaze.

Yeah we knew that we were going to make this a two week trip, so we had the time to check out Seattle and Vancouver. We are SO excited...just need to start the daunting task of saving up spending money...I gave my DH a figure of what I thought we needed and I thought he was going to have the BIG one!

I know the amount of money needed for this trip is alot....we have the 2 cabins, on with a veranda of course; mine and DH's...boys have across the hall but inside cabin/no port hole...but they can use our veranda.....we are also going for 2 weeks but spending the time in Vancouver and Whistler...

So today was an interesting day....my boys High school went into a 2 hr lock down...all drapes pulled and many classes had the kids under the desks for the whole time. The police dept got a call from a teen from the next town over stating that there was going to be a shooting at Helix High school today...

I live on a hill and could see the police helicopter's and news helicopter's surrounding the school....they did make an arrest and the school was let out of lock down. One of my best friends works at the police station and her DH was the detective in charge....waiting for her to get back to me with the full scoop on what came out of the arrest....

There are over 2000 students at the school.....I spent the whole time texting my boys and their friends on what was going on...they gave me the inside info and I gave them the outside info....so many parents and students were texting me my phone was non stop.....

always helpful to have friends that are detectives in your police station
