Gary,

This is from 2009 Members Cruise....opening second from left, missing man formation, ..:thumbsup2

I've got another idea on airfare...

I'm thinking of flying to Seattle, and spending 2 nights there.

Take train to Vancouver, spend 2 more nights before cruise.

Fly from Vancouver to Detroit day after cruise.

This is a little cheaper than flying r/t Detroit to Vancouver, and still lets us see some of Seattle, which our boys were looking forward to. Plus, I don't mind moving around so much before the trip, but will probably want to take the easiest route home once it is over.

OK...I think I have a solid plan now! Of course, everything is based on this summer's airfare, would could be very different in 2011!

We're hoping to be staying at O'Canada B & B in Downtown Vancouver near the port for 5 days before the cruise.

Not sure if we'll be flying out of Colorado Springs or Denver and not sure if we're going to fly back from Vancouver or Seattle. Maybe we'll even switch up the legs a bit. Currently during july 2010 flying btn CS & Vancouver is about $1350 (plus $ for baggage) for the two of us. If it stays that high next year then that would not be an option.

We liked the behind the scenes tour at Magic Kingdom, and visiting the drinking establishments in Epcot! Just actually shopping on Main Street was different for us. So many things you can slow down and enjoy!

Thx!!

Good morning cruisers!
I've already been looking into how we're going to get to and from the ship from Erie, PA. We have an airmiles reward credit card that we think we can use but we're not sure whether to fly into Vancouver or Seattle. We have friends we could visit in Tacoma before the cruise. How is everyone else handling this?:confused3

We are hoping the air fares are decent enough to fly into Vancouver. It would just be easier than flying to Seattle and taking a bus to Vancouver.

But then again, it is all about the price. We will have to see.

We're thinking of doing something similar as we've never been to Seattle and figured it would be nice to tour it for a day or two and then take the hydrofoil over to Vancouver.

Well after the Olympics, I feel we have to see Vancouver during this trip!

Great news.........we found out today that my aunt and uncle have booked this trip with us. They more like an older sister and BIL and they live in Oregon, so they can probably help us with some insider tips!:goodvibes

Top of the morning everybody! We have sunshine on this lovely St. Patrick's Day. Projected high in the mid 50's.

Checked out the Skagway web site yesterday and it seems to be a fascinating place. The name has always intrigued me. You know I'll be getting a refrigerator magnet and at least a t-shirt.

Where is everybody today? Am I the only one no out drinking green beer?:drinking1:crazy2:

Happy day after St.Patrick's Day!!!!:headache::crazy2:

Talked to our friends from Tacoma last night and they're excited about us
coming to visit before the cruise. They think that Amtrak is the best way to
go to Vancouver from there.

Have a great day everyone!:goodvibes

TGIF!!! March madness has begun!!!

The Alaska Canopy Adventures look really cool. I've never
done the zip line thing before. Does anyone else have
experience with this?

I think zip lining is a blast! I actually get to zip line once each year, when we take our 5th grade classes to camp. I don't like heights very much but for some reason I am never scared when I zip line. We went as a family a couple of years ago in Hawaii and everyone had so much fun! We might do it as a cruise excursion, but it depends on what else is offered.

Thx!!

That's great news JoAnn!!!! Can't wait to meet them!

We're thinking of flying to Seattle and spending a few days, then on to Vancouver to spend a day or two.
