Alaska merchandise--what sells out

Been reading that there is a mad rush for the gift shop as soon as it opens after the ship departure to buy merchandise which sells out. What is it that sells out? Looking at pictures, it seems there is a lot of stuff available.

I know that some of the larger shirt sizes started to be harder to get later in the cruise (we were on the first Alaskan cruise back in May). They had plenty in the x-small, smalls and med's, but for some of the shirts/jackets anything larger started to get scarce after day 3. I can't say if anything else sold out, since we were just looking for shirts/jackets.

I didn't see anything sold out a couple weeks ago. My middle kid is a pin fanatic and had been planning her pin purchases for months so we went right away. It didn't feel like a mad rush and they had plenty of everything throughout the cruise.

Disappointingly though, the ornament selection was meh.

In June, t-shirts and jackets in M, L, and XL went fast. If you need XS or 3X those seemed to always be available.

First the blankets with the Disney Alaska Mickey/date logo sell out (everyone wants them for the Iceberg day), followed by the Alaska jacket and t-shirts.

Make sure to bring a set of your own binoculars. They are pricey on the ship!!

I really wanted the women’s hoodie with Mickey and Minnie on a canoe but the larger sizes sold out almost immediately. Same for the Similar-retro-looking women’s tee. In both, only smalls and one medium were left. I wish I did a better job at reading these boards and knowing there would be a rush - who knew?!

Is clothing returnable if you happen to get a size which doesn't fit, or find you don't want the item after all?

Yes. Keep the tags on and try on the clothing in your stateroom. If you don't like something or it doesn't fit, they will quickly exchange it in the gift shop.

The Alaska specific pin sold out on my voyage a couple weeks ago. They had it for a couple days, though.
