Alaska cruise 2023 - Other cruise lines?

Now this is a comparison I would love to hear about!

After watching YouTube Vloggers on Virgin cruises - and being very much an adult Target audience (except for bars) for Disney cruises, I imagine I would never take a Virgin cruise.

The Dining seems to be the biggest plus. And I usually sail when the kid count is low. But I enjoy kid-friendly, mainly family-friendly entertainment. (I don’t truly consider Pirates of the Caribbean nor Marvel to be kids’ movies. But I am >50).
I am not able to do a comparison, because I only cruise on Virgin as of today. Virgin ships are separated in multiple little places indoor and outdoor with different vibes. The only place where it feels crowded is the tiny pool. If you like to exercise it is the brand you want. The food is exceptional and you can dine at the hour that you want with who you want. There is something open where you can get food 24 hours a day.

The cabins are really confortable.

In every places you hang out you can have spontaneous little shows. Most importantly you never feel pressured to participate in anything.

But you cannot get your Disney fix on those cruise :P

How are these other Alaskan cruise lines with food sensitivities? I don't eat gluten, dairy, soy, additives or preservatives, or processed sugar or alternative sugars. I have had coconut sugar, but I try to limit it. Not necessarily allergic, but my body works better without these items. And I haven't had any of these for 3+years, so reintroducing them or just saying do it for the vacation only is not wanted or ideal. Eating at Disney table service in the parks have been great, they have always found something or make something I can have. I have heard the disney cruises will do the same. We have the magic booked for our first cruise in January so I will find that out and see how it goes, but looking at Alaska for the summer 2024 (husband and I's 20th anniversary and daughter will have just graduated high school.) This thread makes me want to look into some of the others for the price difference, but if it seems like they aren't very good at changing how they cook something or able to leave out ingredients, or if it is just a pain to try to explain my needs and then being understanding and try to come up with solutions so I can eat, then I would definitely not mind paying the extra money for disney.
