My 500th post with you all! No better way to do it!

Getting too excited...my fingers don't know 5 from 1!

So I think I am all set on my excursions....not doing any Disney but everything on my own.

I think I am almost done with my FE (a) bought mine fr eBay - a pooh one (b) got the goody bags and am just waiting for Aug 1 closing to be sure I have enough.

I looked into the custom shirts web sites you all posted and am probably just gonna do an iron on of the logo since it will probably only be for me.

I have tried to look for the magnetic paper (tried Target ~ gonna hit Office Depot and Max next).

The only thing I still need to figure out is the mickey ears for the doors...do you all have yours? pictures?

Once I get this all down then i can share with my sister who will probably do the 2013 Half Marathon with me. I want to combine that with a short cruise on the dream or fantasy so this learning will come in handy! Thank you all.

I didn't make mine but am putting different things together.
Finally explained to my mom what FE was and what I was doing...she just smiled.

Yes, if I were Silver I would be booking at 9:00 pm on May 31st. But, I am Gold and have already booked. Make sure that you start at 6:00 pm on May 31st for your Palo and excursion reservations.

It's good to be excited. I can't wait either!!!

Friends thru these boards are really neat. There were 3 of them talking about the 2012 Half and meeting. I joined their thread and mentioned that I was thinking of 2013 and then they were talking about doing it again when I do mine in 2013. They are gonna run 2012 in her memory. She was very encouraging as I am just starting to train ~ I moved from couch to walking 5k and 10k. Now I have moved from just walking to a slow jog and will be working my way to running.

Congratulations on getting yourself motivated......(....I'm still working on that as I am nibbling on a few chips )

I actually put it off until this morning. Mmy Mom works for me and I hate to have her input 3 days of sales for the stores in addition to doing payroll on Mondays. So I try to get at least Friday & Saturdays work all done for her. I have found since I moved the office to the house, that I take advantage of procrastinating............ and I did get them both done before she got here

I like the one with my name bigger. So I print this out and use the magnet strips? They stay separate like you have it pictured and then you just put them together on the door ~ right?.

What program do you use to do this wonderful stuff? I have a hard time just downloading the walt font (in addition to being craft challenged I am computer challenged). I was thinking of going to best buy and getting some program so I could do all this fun stuff too.

They will print like that. I just use photo paper and cut them out and put the magnets on the back. You only need 2 pieces on each ear.

These I got from the "Ear thread" on the main cruise forum. Open with Paint and add the words. It took me a bit to get the disney font to download, but it was a lot easier than I remember when I installed it to the laptop a couple weeks ago.

I liked your name bigger too. It filled it in better


I have to worst time with ears! I reuse my ears over and over, but made some for Mom & Bob for the PC cruise and now Doris & Janet for this one. I always have to chat with one of my friends to get it done. So your not the only one computer challenged--LOL

So we have to sign up for a time we have to check in? I don't remember having to do this for my other Disney Cruise but that was years ago. What happens if you get there earlier than the time you signed up for do you have to wait?

I believe first timers go at 75 days out (about June 16th).

Kimberly, you can do that for a door sign, just save it on your computer and tell it the size you want to print. I saved it to Printshop so I can print them out the size 3x4 so they'll fit in the lanyards------I couldn't figure out how to do that in word---


Tracy, they started doing the port check in times for the PC when they added the Dream to keep the terminal from getting too congested. I don't think it as big of a deal for the other ports. There are times listed as 10-10:30 & 10:30 -11am for our cruise and customs doesn't open until 11am in Vancouver. I just know that I have no desire to sit and wait for a long time at the terminal before being able to board the ship.
