ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

I've read all the navigators I am going to, I still would like a few surprises on board:) Liz's that she posted last night, were actually the best ones posted so far--the others I had trouble trying to read.

Our power went off from the storms last night about 11pm and came back on at 3am when the TV woke me up. Then the phone, internet and cable was off from about 8am this morning until a little after noon. Luckily we didn't have any damage other than a tree limb taking out my bakers rack and lots of glass to clean up from that. Some of our neighbors lost trees. Alan is repairing my gas canopy at one of the stores, wind made about a 6 ft section come loose and it was dangling. One community about 50 miles away lost 12 homes (I think they must have been mobile homes). All I know is compared to all the devastation that others have had, I don't have a thing to complain about.

Cynthia, mine is blonde, thanks to those little bottles that come in a box:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: otherwise it is mostly gray (one of the things I took after my Dad, he was mostly gray at 31)

Have a great day, I've got some house cleaning to get done today that I have been putting off. My goal is to get the upstairs clean and to be able to see Mickey on the guestroom bedspread. He has been covered up long enough:rolleyes1

I am going to use Paula's answer because it is so close to mine.:lmao:

Cynthia, mine is red, thanks to those little bottles that come in a box otherwise it is mostly gray (one of the things I took after my Mom, she was white by the time she was 30.)

just go an email from vista print my t-shirts, long sleeve shirt and other stuff I had made for this trip is on its way.:thumbsup2

Cool Tracy!!!!! (I am still waiting on a darn 50% off code:rotfl:) If I don't get one in by mid June I am just going to HAVE to order them because they took a couple weeks to get here. If I have to do that, I am wrapping them in Christmas paper and telling Mom, Bob, Janet & Doris they are early Christmas gifts:)

Vistaprint is always sending me sales. Once you put an ordering with them one time you get all kinds of sales. Heck they had two for our long weekend we just had here in Canada.

I order quite a bit from Vista Print, I've just never tried their clothing. I'll order a shirt from them and see how it is:goodvibes Thanks

I am going to have to hold off. I ordered the L/S tee in natural (they only have white, navy & black) and the hoodies I can only get them come up embrodiered. I don't want to redo the ones I have............................. It was a good try came pretty close to what I had originally spent

I wish I could get the Hoodies from Vista wish the logo. Thier hoodies look like they zip up, I like those kind. Don't care much for the ones you have to pull over your head.:sad1:

I prefer one that zips also--they are easier on the hair. I never could figure out on VP how to use our logo seemed like they were all stock logos. But I liked the embrodiery too:)

Well, I did get the guest bedroom's clutter all put away. There were still piles there from our Panama Canal cruise. I have 4 Cove Cafe cards--3 were full:) So I put them with my Alaska cruise stuff. Also my Disney Visa rewards cards were there--I don't really have many reward $$ to transfer though so I might let them grow and use on our next cruise. I was hoping to have enough to pay for my hot stone massage but I don't see that happening unless I become a charging fool in the couple of months.

I also got my closet cleaned out and organized again! Filled one of my old suitcases with clothes and another with assorted odds & ends to give the next time one of the donation centers call. I had a rolling Mickey duffel that I can't remember when I bought that was on the top shelf--still in the plastic that I had to give Alan to pitch in the dumpster at work. When I got it out the plastic that forms the sides just broke into pieces--so that sure wouldn't be useful to anyone:sad1: I also had quite the collection of DCL and DVC lanyards from the different cruises. I am going to bring these to Florida and see if the family members want them to use for their room cards in June:)

Today I really want to go to Costco---so lets see how motivated I can get, Hope everyone has a great day:flower3:

Well I didn't make it to Costco yesterday, so I am going today before I head to work. It did however make it to Dollar Tree, Walmart and Meijers, lots of running. Going to see the River Bats for an early evening game and then skyping tonight with some peeps from our June 23rd 2012 Fantasy cruise. I invited a bunch of the family over for a cookout tomorrow to celebrate Memorial Day and my Mom's birthday. Hope everone is enjoying their weekend:)

Well, I guess you all are talking about hair color, so I will play to. Mine is Black with streaks of Silver sparkles. I made a deal with myself when I was 26, that me and Miss Clarol WOULD NOT BE FRIENDS!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I have not seen any reviews of the Jeep or Hummer excursions. :drive:

Has anyone heard anything or done that before ?

Beginning to lay out clothing to see what else we may need, here in Minnesota we get weather that is similar so we should have everything. :laundy:

Just got off the Dream and now we're gold. Booked Palo brunch for first at sea day ( had to book 2 tables for 2 instead of one for 4) and Palo dinner for last night. Still no tea available.

If you get the code pass it on. Also, saw you posted a coupon in I think the Alaska section thread. I saw it late. Sad. I think it was for the tram or Big bus. If you have any other cods or coupon PLEASE let us know here. I would love to take advantage of it.

***So glad you are safe***

I read a few of Trip Advisor and it was mixed. Some thought it was long and not fun if you don't drive.

Kimberly, sign up for the Groupon in Vancouver you'll get daily posts from them. I also get Living Social ones. Let me find the links.

I get them from both Louisville and Vancouver everyday. Sorry I forgot to post the HOHO bus here. If you do purchase any of the Canada deals it will put a small currency charge on your credit card. I think for my $90 HOHO it was about $3. Just the same as you had charged your card in a foreign country.

I'll post any more that are good:)

finally after several test runs, i have settled on my FE gift! i am so excited :yay: i decided to make very personalized FE gifts for the girls and women--if you want yours to resemble you (in a rough animated kind of way) please PM me with your hair color. if not, no worries---i will just be making more generic gifts. thanks in advance!
