ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

Looks like a rainy day in Ketchikan...

The Wonder looks good even in the rain....thanks for sharing.

No Docs today:sad: I went thru a TA so they will be a few days longer.

Us too ~ at first I kept watching the mail and then realized that the docs probably went to TA first and then she will send to us. soooo still waiting (and not patiently:goodvibes) because it really will feel real when they come.

I went through a TA and got my Doc on Friday. We live in California.

Do they no longer send those great luggage tags?

Kimberly, the luggage tags are in the pocket on the 1st page after you open the book.

Our docs came today:cool1::cool1::cool1:! With luggage tags. Funny thing though, my husband and mine came in seperate packages. Wierd. It's not as if we have different last names or something.

Brenda, that is weird. I didn't call Doris or Janet today to see if they each got docs or they just came to Doris. My mom received hers.

I got mine Saturday, so hopefully you will get yours shortly! :)

If you are referring to the luggage tags with characters on them, you get those in your cabin on your last day to help you claim your luggage in the terminal.

Those might be them. I remember way back when I got nice luggage tages. Maybe they were when I did WDW.

Paula - Since you are updating the FE. We are still in same room

2111
Kim - adult
Sandy - Adult
Trevor - 12
Becca - 5

Wow it seems like its been a while since I was on here. Had 4 pages to read.

Sorry to hear about your store.

We still have not got our docs here in Canada. Hope they come soon.:thumbsup2

I still have to put the final things on my FE holder. Then I am done.

Just book on my own The Musher Summer Dog camp. They have great customer Service. My friend just got back from doing this and they loved it!!! She said they went so fast and it was great to learn about the sport and the puppies were so cute. They loved playing with the. If you don't have the funds to do the one in the snow this might be an option. We are doing Liarsville with lunch and then this Dog sled at 12:30. The cost is $109 adults and $89 kids they pick you up at the doc.

I think I have all my door signs printed--took a whole color cartridge printning them for 3 doors!

We are cheating this time, have the door signs from the previous cruises so we will just add an Alaska to them. :upsidedow

Is anyone dressing for Pirate's night? pirate:

I am not sure about it since they don't sound like they do it the same as the regular Bahama or Caribbean cruises.

We will not be, saving the room in our suitcases for warmer clothing. pirate:

Since we are going out on the glacier and out on the water wanted to be sure and have layers plus waterproof.
DW does NOT like to be cold. princess: Funny thing, we moved from Memphis to Minnesota, could seem odd but I don't like the heat. :rotfl:

I checked my room, hoping that the newly opened rooms in lower categories meant they were moving folks up into balconies so they could resell cheaper rooms. No pixie dust though, but I was excited with anticipation for a minute!

I am bringing lots of clothes to layer--still hoping I won't have to use the turtle necks. But it is always good to be prepared.:goodvibes

Don't give up on your pixie dust upgrades---The one and only time we have been upgraded, we were called the day before by DCL giving us new room #'s. They asked me to cross out our room # on our luggage tags and write the new ones on it. We went from 2 connecting SPH rooms to connecting navigator verandahs. It was :cool1:.

Kimberly the reviews I have read on the dog camp have all been positive---Enjoy your outing with them:goodvibes

My training with the lottery today--sure gave me an easier way to balance the machines out than the way I have been doing it. Saturday it took me almost 3 hours just to figure out what I was doing. Adam has done it every day since and was using wrong numbers and really causing my paperwork to be out of whack. But it seems that the light clicked on:) The weirdest thing that I was told today was how they teach retailers to reconcile their lottery----I told her that by doing it the way that there is no inventory kept (which to me is not an acceptable way). She said that I am the only retailer that she has met that keeps a running inventory on how many tickets are in their store:scared1::scared1: That others just care if their money matches---I told her they BOTH needed to balance:rolleyes1 CRAZY!!!

I had a couple of door signs that I am reusing, but most of mine were specific to the Magic and all my Wonder ones were Panama Canal.

Tracy, I was beginning to wonder about you, you have been quiet.:wave2:

Oh, Paul you shouldn't have. Now you got my hopes up for some magic. LOL We are in room 2111. Here hoping. However we have been on a cruise before and I feel they give them out a lot to first timers.

Does anyone know
1. our facebook fan page name?
2. How to find the person who makes name tags?
3. It was years ago but there use to be people who did graphic. Does that still happen?

It is on the Community Pages, Dis Signs

There is also a new thread, part 6 (but I can't find it) here is the link to part 5
cruise magnets part 5

I keep hoping for an upgrade, too. This will be my 7th DCL cruise. No luck so far. I doubt that we will be upgraded as we are already in a verandah room as it is.

We also frequently re-use our magnets. We just add new ones to coincide with the cruise/ship that we are on.
