Just got an email from AA in my inbox........Just checked my dates 1/23-1/30/10 is $100 roundtrip from PDX to SNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just called and got my credit. I just saved myself $450!!!!!! Real nice!

Lollipop, since you love flying out of Bellingham, you should also look into Allegiant Air! Flights from Bellingham to LA are frequently $38.88 each way! I use them to fly from SD to Bellingham. Flights from San Diego to Monterey, CA on Allegiant are $9.99 each way... I don't know how that's possibly but it's ridiculous!!! I can't even get a cab to the airport for less than $20 let alone a round-trip flight!!!

probably a long shot...but i searched and found this posting. we are travelling in december from bellingham to sna for about $200 per person. is that good? do you think if i hold out i can get a better price? thats return and taxes included.

That's a very good deal for round trip including everything. We had flights for $118 plus tax last October out of SeaTac, but I haven't seen anything that low in months. If it were me, I would take the flights that you mentioned. From what I've seen recently, that is a good price, and it would be much easier to fly out of Bellingham than Seatac. I would love to take our next flight out of there.

Be very thankful you don't have to pay our huge surcharges! We are coming from Anchorage (Alaska) and think that anything under $1000k is a good deal r/t! I actually found a fare of $682 yesterday, I hope I get it later today, I'm heading to do a fundraiser bazaar in an hour, and I will be gone all day!! We are going ANC-SNA. I should see if the flights through PDX are any cheaper, the one I was looking at was stopping in SEA. We are using miles for my husband and I's tickets, and the kids are using 10k miles each to get $100 off theirs, so they will pay $582 each... wish me luck!!!

That does sound like a good price for December. We are regular Alaska air travellers, but keep in mind that it is not direct on Alaskaair from Bellingham. You likely have to connect in Seattle or Portland, which is a hassle and makes a 2 1/2 hour trip into a 4-6 hour trip.
Allegiant air DOES fly non-stop to LAX. They likely aren't booking for December yet though, and I think the low fares are only on Wednesdays, and they add fees for seat selection, etc.
We have flown Alaska out of YVR or SEA, but not BLI because of the connection.
If you are willing to drive to SEA you will have more options for non stops at good prices.
When in December is your trip? If it is over Christmas, I would book it. If not, I don't think I would rush to book.
