Alaska 2021- what are my options?

It's allowed. We've done it. Too many times. I can't even keep track of which cruises were paid for with partial FCC, which were paid with full FCC, and I'm not even sure there are any left that were paid in full with cash...

I do think it's likely that they would have to bring the Wonder over to the West coast without paying passengers, but I'm not convinced that the EBPC wouldn't go off as planned.

It wasn't removed from the website due to restrictions. It is past the date that the CSO expires, so even though other items were canceled over the 7 day length the CDC had initially ruled out, it remained. It only disappeared when it was actually sold out, and those cabins were dang expensive, so that one ought to be at least profitable for them and could possibly offset some of the loss on bringing her over empty. I don't think Disney is afraid to take a strategic business loss.

Also it turns out the 7 day max sailing limit is only related to the Test Sailings. Restricted Voyages don't have a limit, neither for the 95/98 Vaccination path, nor the CSO Framework path. The CDC even specifically put in guidelines for B2B sailings for the Restricted Voyages (with different testing requirements depending on which path you take). So technically, Disney could surprise drop a crazy once-in-a-lifetime deal on a 95/98 Vaccinated WBPC in early September and sail through the canal, with paying passengers, on a Restricted Voyage and it would not even have to be 7 nights or less. It would be a dang weird voyage, with few kids under 12, but absolutely possible.

If they did bring her over, they'd have the rest of September, all of October and then back again. 10 sailings if you count the EBPC. I do doubt the Eastbound it's still full at this point though. Probably a number of folks have canceled it based on the uncertainty...

I do think having any Baja cruises at all is much less likely without Alaska, but I also do still see a small path to the Baja cruises. Before the canceled the Alaskan sailings I was fairly optimistic. Now I'm riding the line on neutral, with occasional rotating bouts of optimism, pessimism, and delusion. I already told everyone in my party last month that we should choose an alternative and be prepared for the cancellation, but even now I've just created an entire fantasy set of events that will allows our 10/31 5 night Baja to go... wheeeee
