Alaska 06/11/12 Anyone Sailing ?

Thanks! We can't wait either!! Seems like I have so much planning still to do and not so much time left

I know me too!! As of today it is only 3 months exactly until DH and I leave for Seattle for the Cruise! I feel like a week ago it was 5 months away, it is creeping up on us very quickly!

It is creeping up.
I feel a little lost because I'm at that place where I've made all the big plans (hotel, airfare, transportation) and now I just have to wait til I can start packing. :lmao:

I'm excited, too!! The next three months will fly by. Got the fish extender I ordered yesterday. So Cute!!! I'm working on a few fish extender gifts that are small and won't take up much suitcase room. I've got all my magnets and door decorations done and now I'm waiting for the 28th to get here so I can book the rest of our excursions. Since I'm sailing with my 11 yr old Grandson, I won't be needing any Palo reservations (more for the rest of you)

:yay: Final Cruise Payment made Today! :yay:

I also ordered my Fish Extender today! Can't wait for it to get here! Counting down the days until the 28th to see what is still available! I seriously need to start working on our door decor, and figuring out what to do for our FE gifts! Now back to work on my TR, updating the One More Disney Day one if anyone is interested in reading it I will provide a link for you ;)

Congrats on the final payment!!!

We can book our excursions on the 13th so I can let you know how things are looking. It seems there are still a lot of cabins avail. so maybe we will all get what we want. Besides our excursions I'm only planning on High Tea.

We are on spring break starting on March 19 so I'm hoping to finish up all the shopping that week. After that things get crazy in my house. Well crazier :lmao: In May my DS13 has a jazz band trip to TN. I'm also going but I'm not sure I will survive on a bus with 29 middle school kids for 13 hours. :scared1: My DS18 graduates high school on June 1st. I'm going away to the beach for a 'girls weekend' right before we leave.:rolleyes1 That one is probably not my best idea but it's a tradition for my friends and I and I don't want to miss it.
At least the next 3 months should go by quickly!

Made our final payment this past week too, so we're now among the group celebrating final payment. :cheer2:

I need to book car rental for us in Seattle, but aside from that all major reservations are already complete. Like others - just waiting now...... hoping to decide on excursions this week, and then hoping we get what we want. Palo would be a bonus, but I'm not holding my breath.

Decided not to join the FE group. So sorry. Just seemed like another task in an already busy time for us, and I'm trying hard not to overextend myself.

We book on the 13th as well. Right now I am looking at Palo for fingers crossed dinner, brunch and tea:wizard: We have NEVER been able to get tea, not on any of the Magic cruises we have been on or on the Dream. We have always been on sold out cruises and little Castaway Silver was never enough to get us High tea. I am hoping this cruise might do it considering it might be low occupancy?:wizard:

Right now we are looking at booking the White pas round trip for Skagway, the Whale watching, Mendenhall & Salmon bake adult only for Juneau, and maybe the Rainforest sanctuary exploration and crab fest for Ketchikan.

I'll peak around when I am done and look at the availability of some other stuff too. I'll be up at midnight on Monday doing this...that is what we usually do because things are usually so limited, but again not sure about this cruise.

Well if I try to get one on the 28th and there aren't any, I'll know who took them all :rotfl: just kidding :rotfl2: I only want High Tea, I don't even want a brunch or dinner...lol I am not holding my breath though and if we don't get any, then maybe I'll book a Dream or Fantasy cruise and try to get a res on there maybe even at Remy...

:rotfl:
We would even book Palo dinner twice if we could. To say we like it is an understatement. :rotfl2:

Even if you can't get it online you should be able to secure it on he ship. You wouldn't want to try brunch? It's great. If you can not get tea ( which is very hard to book) try brunch it is very good, and you won't miss your dinner rotation.

Is anyone in the main seating?

Tuesday is going to be a really long day at work.:coffee:
But it will be worth staying up all night if I can book what we want. :cloud9:
Best of luck to everyone :grouphug:

I will also look around after I book our stuff and report back.;)

A HUGE good luck to you all making reservations and such later on tonight! I hope you all get what you want!:thumbsup2

I have been looking at trip advisor again for Ketchikan since we are only going to be there for such a short time. The day we are there is our actual Anniversary so we are thinking about doing a flight seeing tour through Island Wings. They are the #1 rated tour on trip advisor for Ketchikan. They do a 2 hour tour to Misty Fjords National Monument, they land there and even let you get out for a bit, I thought that sounded pretty cool, plus it is less expensive than some of the other flight seeing tours! :cheer2:

Anyone else planning on doing flight seeing? Not just in Ketchikan but anywhere? :goodvibes

Oh and we are in second seating for dining, I know someone asked if anyone was in main but I don't remember who asked and now it is too late to quote...LOL :rotfl:

Well we got everything we wanted!
High Tea - At sea (Tue)
White Pass Railway and Trail Camp - Skagway
Adventure Kart Expidition - Ketchikan

I looked around and it looks like a lot is still avail. I pulled up Palo brunch and there were several times listed as avail. and all the excursions looked to still be avail.

Good luck to everyone! :wizard:

So annoyed. The site crashed and I can't get on anymore. All I got so far is Palo brunch but no shore excursions. Seriously, why can't Disney get their act together and get a site that doesn't crash. They act like they never have a million people trying to book stuff. Grrrrrr....

Sorry you are having trouble. Did it work for you yet? Try logging off and then back in again. Good luck!

Yep, kept logging out and back in again and again, took a while but FINALLY got in. Got our second choice for Dog sledding but just glad we got one-kids can't stop talking about doing that and wasn't sure how I was going to tell them we couldn't  Only thing couldn't book was a zipline. My DS turns 10 while on the ship and even though he will be 10 (min age) by the time we do it, the site only recognizes him as 9. Emailed to see if could get around or will try on board. Now need to start working on our stays in Seattle and Portland pre and post cruise...
