Has anyone rented from Alamo and have to change the card originally used? I rented a car on Sept 29th. I still have this car until oct 8th. I originally provided my debit card, this card has been compromised and shut off. According to the bank Alamo had a hold on the funds but has since released it. They are not allowing any charges to go thru on the card. They are overnighting me a new card will i be able to give the new card when i return the car?

When you return the car, just provide them with the new card and you will be fine. The person checking the car back in will ask if you want it put back on the card provided at checkin, tell them no and give them the new card. If they don't ask, tell them. You may have to go to the booth to get it taken care of. You can also pay with cash if you desire.

They can change the card in the garage booth, however, they cannot accept cash in the garage, the renter would have to go into the terminal to the Alamo counter for that. Also, the return agent cannot change the card, they will send them to the garage booth.

Thanks Larry i was thinking that but was afraid they'd want me to drive back to the airport with the new card.
