Any problems with Alamo? Input anyone? I'm looking to rent for 13days Apr30-May12th. They seem to be the cheapest I have found. $310 taxes in. I'm not sure I'm going to get much cheaper for almost 2 weeks. There are no coupons on Mousesavers that can help me with my dates. Most of them expire Feb/2011. Thanks :goodvibes

We use Alamo all the time. We have never had a problem with them and the cars have always been in good shape. If you have a confirmation email from them you will be able to register all your information on-line before you go. If you have a coupon you will be able to finish your rental at the kiosk in the terminal and then go get your car and just show your license and paperwork at the exit. If you don't use a coupon you will be able to check-in on-line and then just go get your car and show the paperwork at the exit. Bringing the car back is extremely easy and quick. As with any rental car company, make sure you check out the entire car before you leave the garage and have the attendant at the exit make a notation of any scratches or small dings so you won't be blamed for them.

Agreed. I've never had any problems with Alamo. They're usually the cheapest whenever I rent. I like that you're able to book and rebook several times without penalty. Lots of opportunity to take advantage of falling rates!

Don't be too concerned about the lack of coupons for your dates right now. There's plenty of time for them to come out. Consider signing up for Insider on Alamo's website too. That's their discount program and they say that it will save you at least 10% on every rental. Even better - it's free!

I wouldn't be surprised if a bit closer to your trip the base rate drops too. Keep looking right up until you leave. Just keep checking!

I had a terrible time with them, but it was in Syracuse, only one person behind the counter, we waited in line for over an hour, then my car wasn't clean!! someone had smoked it in, and decided to use the car itself as an ashtray.... but it got me where I needed to go!

I can't say that I've had a great experience with Alamo in every city, but we've rented from them at least 20 times in Orlando and they're always great!
Just go to the kiosk and then head out to pick your car! The whole process usually takes 5 min or less.

When I rent a car I don't want to talk to anyone so the Alamo kiosks at MCO are the best. They are typically the cheapest and you get to pick your own car. With all of those factors they are my #1 choice at MCO.

You can book now and add the coupon later. I've had sucess with that and have been able to keep the rate I have reserved.
