Has anyone actually validated that the Walmart codes for Alamo that are at Mousesavers are actually for Walmart customers? I had read on Flyer Talk that someone called to change a reservation they had made on line with a Walmart code and were told to be sure they had their Walmart Association card available. (Post #7 Here)

I know Mousesavers is a reputable site, but this code can't be found anywhere at Walmart.com or in the Walmart Rand McNally atlas. I also remember reading on this forum a month or so ago where someone was denied using the Walmart code. If it was a valid Walmart code for public use it would be published somewhere associated with Walmart or Alamo.

We have used this code with no problems but am still curious about its true public availability and validity.

I used that code for our rental in Feb 09. As always, I called Alamo to confirm our reservation -- I was told the code was good for all Walmart shoppers.

I have probably used that code 10 times. It is for Wal-Mart customers not employees. I make my reservations on-line and check in via the kiosk. The only person I ever talk to is the booth attendant and I've never even got a hint of a question about that code.

I have used it several times and never had any problems. It's valid for everyone.

Have used it for the last four years. No problems at all! It is one of the better ones as it includes an additional driver free!:thumbsup2

I think that LewisC provided a website link somewhere in the midst of that huge thread about the Alamo 7111... code; try checking his posts with a word search on WalMart.

Just go to mousesavers.com Mary lists most of the legit codes and pulls codes that turn out to be questionable.

I realize we have all used it many times. We have also. However where is it published that it is a Walmart customer code? You would think if it was a legitimate code it would either be published by Alamo or Walmart, it isn't that I could find.

Mousesavers has no affiliation with either Walmart or Alamo, so who is to say it is accurate? The second Walmart code they list that indicates it was found in the Rand McNally atlas is not in the 2010 version.

I have no problem using the code as we have used it without issue. However Costco and Entertainment codes are well published and available for public view on their respective websites, why not these Walmart codes? I am not discounting Mousesavers in any way, but they had to have found the code somewhere though?

The code was listed in older editions of the Rand McNally maps (WalMart version) I don't know if the code was in the 2009 edition, maybe Alamo is letting the code expire. This is one reason why Alamo/National has to share the blame. The confirmation should list the discount you booked under (AAA rate).

You could contact mousesavers and ask. You might get a reply.

I'm a member of COSTCO and don't use the WalMart rate.

I have used the Walmart code 430710 for our Aug. trip. I found information on the Walmart site about it and printed it out in case we ever were questioned. Go to walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=1818430 and the information about the savings percentage, unlimited mileage, and free second driver is there.

Just what I was looking for. :woohoo:

Wow...I have never had someone actually find the source of this Walmart Code! Awesome!!

I have used the code time and time again knowing that I am a Walmart shopper. Thanks to that poster!

Though this doesn't effect MCO, thought this was interesting

In the United States, offer valid only at airport-serving locations

Has anyone used it at the CCC?

I was also unable to get to the link by starting at walmart.com. Only entering the exact address posted by francie57 worked.
