Alamo vs Avis

We have always booked with Alamo, and have never had a problem. For our trip in September, I have a full size car reservation with them for $150, tax included for seven days. Always looking for a cheaper price, I went through BJs and found the same category car for $138 with Avis. But having never used them, I am hesitant. For those of you who have used them, how reliable are they? When I get that rate, does the final bill reflect that amount, or are there hidden fees? Alamo is usually spot on.

Also, how busy are they at their counter? Alamo always seems packed...just wondering if I can save time with Avis...I have to maximize my time at Disney!

Thanks for any info!:)

Just as an FYI with ALamo you can check in online and bypass the counter with some reservations OR use the kiosk and avoid the lines. I find Alamo much quicker than any other rental agency.

I just rented with Avis...NOT at MCO. Horrible and would never rent from them again. Did two one-way rentals. First one honestly was dirtiest car I have ever rented- my local location is small and it was all I could take. Second car was new but had damage- huge dent in bumper where someone had obviously hit something. Had the CSR use a cancelled reservation and charge a higher price, poor customer service.

I'm thinking I may just stay with Alamo, we have never had a problem with them, and it's probably not worth taking the chance in saving a few bucks. Thanks for the info!
