Alamo rates down for Jan & Feb

I'vejust switched my reservation to National..for $4 more I can completely bypass the counter and go straight to the car (Emerald Aisle)..I'm at $69 for at least a midsize (could get an SUV or Minivan, depending what's there)

This is what we did too. Got it down to a $2 difference! :thumbsup2

I just checked the rates for us. Feb 17-26 we already have a rate of $361.16 (through Dollar) for a minivan. Same dates same minivan right now at Alamo over$1000.00  Sure glad I found a deal before now. It's easier to get good deals very early about a year before the trip or you can hit good deals later if it doen's matter the size car. We will be 6 people so we need a inivan. Good Luck.

I just booked my minivan with Alamo about 2 weeks ago for January 24-28 and I'm at $205.00.

hi everyone, I was just planning on using magical express for my upcoming trip (1/25-2/1), but now so many more of my friends will be joining us, everyone is taking different flights in on different days...now I'm thinking a car might be the way to go, since I can just go pick everyone up at the airport...should save a little money.

what codes are you guys using to get the cheapy deals? Please share, and sorry if I missed the info anywhere...I was looking, but didn't see it!!

:worship:

just wondering how it would be cheaper for you since DME is included in your stay? You could all just meet up somewhere instead of riding back and forthfrom your resort or park.

Where did you get the code for 25.00 off?

Mousesavers has a new (it's in red) to an Alamo coupon $25 off weekly rate. I just used it and was able to add two days and upgrade from a mid to full size for 70 cents less than my original reservation (used the walmart code). Gotta loves these boards.

Now, has anyone used "Try the Alamo self-service kiosk - now available at this location! Click here to learn more about this quick, easy check-in process -- and skip the rental counter!" and can tell me where it is. I assume it is in close proximity to the rental counter - but never want to assume too much.

Thanks,
mel

I made a reservaton with alamo for 2/19-2/23. Then I went back to check the reservation to put in some codes or discounts. I can not find a place to put the codes in. How do you mention you are a DVC Memeber or a Annual pass Holder. Should I be calling or am I looking at the wrong screne for alamo

When you go into modify your reservation, there is a box "ID/Corp ID" under the "optional rate information" section where you need to put the contract ID number.

I upgraded to a full size for $79 with the coupon. 1/12-18. I am hoping that I can still use the kiosk even with a coupon. Anyone know?

You can use the kiosk with a coupon. You don't need the coupon until you get to the garage exit
booth.

Looking for a rent-a-car for Jan. 27 - Feb. 3. need some help with entering two coupons for a low rate.

You can't enter two coupons.
You can enter one corp/id/association rate (ie. Walmart 430710)) and
one coupon code AD1901NJK (Alamo E coupon)

Woo Hoo!:woohoo:  :woohoo:

Finally got a better rate for our trip the second week of Feb. I've only seen $150 - 170 since I started watching rates. I used the walmart code and the $25 coupon to get $115 w/taxes for the week. The coupon almost paid for the taxes and add ons. As always I'll keep checking the rates until the night before we leave. A little over 5 years ago, I got a car for the week for $56 w/ taxes. That is the best I have ever done and those days are long gone, but I'm happy to go from $166 down to $115. :goodvibes

Yes, it's right next to the counter to the left. It is SOOOOOO easy that I would never endure the counter again no matter how few people are in line. Just read each screen carefully so you aren't accepting any extras (like them filling the gas tank when you return the car, insurance, etc.) that you don't want. It took me 1-2 minutes to do the whole thing. I also recommend the "save time" feature that is listed on the bottom of your online reservation. On second thought, maybe that is required if you want to use the kiosk. It asks for the information on your license. Very easy to do. :thumbsup2
