Alamo price drops at LAX

If anyone else here is needing a car from LAX, I've been checking our rate daily and tonight it was 173.00 for a compact for Aug 26-31. I checked again a minute later and it was 85.00! I was able to get it with a contract code (amex) and coupon for 74.00 dollars including taxes and fees! Just thought I'd post this hoping it can help someone else. We've usually been able to get a great rate in
Orlando by checking regularly, but I was losing hope for LAX. So happy I decided I had to share and stop "lurking"

The amex code is 7014295. Funny thing though, I tried to do the exact same reservation this morning just to see what would happen and it comes up as 175. now! I don't know if my reservation was just a blip and maybe I just got lucky but try a few times anyway. I usually check a couple of times a day. Good Luck!

I have a reservation with Alamo too...but for pick up at Long Beach. I just saved an additional $30! Woo Hoo!

I have learned that you need to keep checking the rates, they change all the time.

We leave in 11 days! So very excited.

You're welcome Seattletink! I wish we were flying into Longbeach. It's much easier, but we can't get nonstop from here. Have a great trip!
