Either of these better or worse as far as shuttling to the cruise ship after dropping off the car? We are sticking with one of these since we are staying at the YC and can walk over to grab the car from the Dolphin easily that morning.

National, Alamo and Enterprise are part of the same company. I don't know if they share the same shuttle at the port, but at most airports they do.

All the car rental shuttles are basically the same. You are at the mercy of how many people from your ship are using them and arriving/departing the same time as you! We have used Hertz, Alamo and National. Similar experience across the board.

One trick that we do as a family of five. I take the family and the luggage to the terminal. I drop them off and they stand in the security line. I then drive to the rental car return and take the shuttle back to the terminal by myself.

Definitely find out ahead of time how many ships are scheduled to be in port the day you embark and plan accordingly. The one and only time we rented a car and drove down there there were 3 other ships besides the Fantasy and despite getting to the rental car agency at 9:00 to return the car, it was a mad house! There were easily 100 people lined up in the parking lot--no one knew if we were in line waiting for the shuttle or waiting to rent a car. Some were in line waiting to go to other cruise ships. I waited in line for an hour before I got fed up with people just waltzing up to the front of the line and getting on the shuttle--no one one could hear anything from the back 40 where we were standing but they had been calling for people sailing on DCL (that's who they were taking first)!! Just pure chaos!!! It was our first sailing and from then on, we prefer to take Disney transport (we don't mind getting to the port a little later, otherwise we'd do some other transport option). But definitely plan accordingly!

Is there an easy way to find out this information? This is our first cruise and I am planning on renting a car from WDW to go to port (cheaper and gets us there earlier) but I am a bit concerned with some of the chaos stories I've heard.
