DH saw that you can check in online with Alamo now. Would like to know how this is working if anyone has tried it.

I'm interested too. I would sign up for it..but I printed out my confirmation and I can't fin d the conformation # anywhere on ther sheet.
I had no colored ink in my printer so only the black type printed out, so I bet it was another color.
So no confirmation #, no sign up.

We arrive Friday in Orlando and I got an email message yesterday telling me I can check-in online so I went and hit the link to try. Unfortunately, it kept saying it couldn't find my reservation, so I called their customer service number and they told me online check-in is only active about 24 hours ahead. I'll try again tomorrow night and post whether I have luck.

I tried again today and it still didn't work. I called the internet help line and what we determined is that my vehicle type (minivan) isn't part of the available options for online check-in. MCO (Orlando airport) is part of the program, so mosty vanilla rentals in the sedan small/medium/large/luxury categories would work with online check-in.

Okay, I sent an email and was able to get my confirmation number so I checked in online.
You have to have a printed copy of your rental agreement with you-I think two copies, one to hand over and one to keep in your car with you.
This is what the website states when I got o check my ressie:

Station specific Quick Rent instructions are not available.
Proceed to the National Car Rental location of your rental and follow the instructions posted at that location.
Please be prepared to present the credit card you used online and your drivers license so that your transaction can be processed.

I am a little baffled by them saying to go to the National Car Rental location. since it is an Alamo ressie. I know they've merged, but I thought they were still 2 separate areas at MCO

I was looking into this, but you can't use it if you're using a coupon or adding an additional driver (& most of us on this board probably are!), so I'm not sure how useful it will be. It sure sounded like a good thing though!
