Alamo online booking Gold option with discount?

I'm trying to book online with Alamo with their 'Gold' option to include extra drivers and a tank of fuel ... and I'm trying to get a discount.

The only discount links / pages I can find all relate to their 'fully inclusive' rates, but I can't find a way of upgrading to 'Gold' without going direct to their 'Gold' page - and that doesn't have the discount link.

Am I missing something? Or am I going to have to choose either a discount or 'Gold', but not both?

I cant find a discount page to go thru on Alamo.co.uk. Only way I see is do a regular rental and add gold.
Do you have link to discount page for me to try?

Had a look, can't see a way around it. All I can think is they class the Gold option as an offer, see below from their T&C's.
You would have to work out if its worth not taking the gold and getting the discount, again from T&C's below, This says no option you have to pay their price for a tank, no idea how strict Alamo are with this but could work out expensive.
Had a look and comapred price between Tampa(where We are renting from in August) and it costs more from TampA for some reason, USrentacar with Budget were same at both Tampa and MCO.

Not combinable with any other offer. Rental includes unlimited mileage, damage liability waiver, road tax and VAT and does not include fuel.

Fuel Policy
Unless included in the product, a full tank of gas will be purchased at the time of rental.

Thanks, Wayne that confirms what I'd found.

Seeing as they want $69 just to add an extra driver, even without adding on their (undoubtedly exorbitant) cost for the fuel, it would cost us less to choose the non-discounted 'Gold' option than to take the discounted 'fully inclusive' rate and upgrade.

I think this is the first time I have found Alamo's own site to be cheaper than USrentacar.

They have had good prices for Alamo recently.
Couldn't see 2 dr full size direct with Alamo but they have them on this site, in 20+ rentals always booked 2 dr always got 4dr, I know Dollar don't stock 2dr, would expect Alamo to be the same.

Yes, I think I've checked most sites I've ever heard of, and a few I haven't! yescarhire are coming out same price as Alamo. We want to book 2dr economy (i.e. cheapest, smallest!) as there are only the two of us and not much lugagge, and we usually end up being allocated compact or intermediate anyway.

Thanks They are coming out slightly more expensive for us this time, but we have used them before and found them particularly straightforward and helpful, so would definitely use them again if the price was right
