Alamo July rates

I am beside myself with relief. We are going to WDW from 7/2 to 7/9 and wanted to rent a car. Well the midsized car for the last few weeks has been $504 before any fees and taxes (this is with my Insiders membership) and all of a sudden the last few days the midsized SUV has been cheaper than any of the other cars including the economy and compact cars. It went from something like $423 after all fees and taxes to todays rate of $252 inclusive. And I'm finding that if I check around 8:00 a.m. and then again around 9:30 a.m. it goes down $30. I hope this keeps happening. I have changed my reservation about 6 times since Monday and it is only Wednesday. I'm definitely keeping an eye on their rates !

I always start checking my car rental rates 10 days prior. Those prices will plummet if the rental companies are sitting on unrented inventory. I'm hoping Alamo rates continue to drop .... I'm sitting on $454 for a 13 day full size rental from 7/13 to 7/26' and would really like to get a minivan or SUV for the same price .... Or save a little off of that.

Woohoo!!! Don't you just love when you find a deal? I didn't think it would go down because of the time of year we are going so it was a very pleasant surprise.

I'm having the worst luck...I guess because we're staying Sun - Saturday, with no overnight Saturday stay, ugh!

Mid Sized SUV isn't even an option for our dates (7-3 to 7-9)

I signed up for insiders, used a double upgrade coupon (only one I could find that works for my dates), and it's $380 inclusive for a standard! Oddly enough my rate IS a "weekly" rate on my confirmation, but yet I can't use any of the weekly coupons because I'm not staying over a saturday night. So stupid

For the last few days as I have been still checking rates to see if they had gone down more I noticed that the mid-sized SUV was no longer an option and still the economy car was more that what we are paying for the SUV.
