Keys are in the car doors, so you choose the one you want from your class aisle (compact, midsize, etc.). Very well marked and easy to find.

On some cars the keys are on the roof now. This is because of many newer cars having keyless fobs.

They can also be in the cup holders or dashboard and sometimes in the ignition.

Got it. DO you get the keys for the car in the same alamo booth in the garage where u add the spouse driver? ... or is alamo one of the places where the keys are in all of teh cars and you choose the one you want??

You can add the driver at the exit booth. The booth inside the garage is usually quite busy.

Great info. If there is a line at the garage booth will try the exit booth. I really have zero interest in delaying. Have a 4 year old and 1 year old. Flight time means poor nap. Will be landing after dinner time. Need to get to our rental house asap, set up the toddler bed we have in storage down there from last trip and assemble for the baby's bed time, grocery store, etc..... will be busy. Can't afford to wait on rental car...... thanks to all.

So, I will land and dash to grab my car seats (checked luggage) and then to the Alamo Kiosk. Check in there at kiosk. Straight up to garage from there. Peek at the garage booth, if line long I keep moving. Toss my car seats in the mini van that catches my eye and look for keys in the spots you've mentioned above, and add wife as 2nd driver at the exit booth if still needed. I got it. THANKS.

You will also need your wife and her license when you add her to the contract, regardless of where you add her.
