Alamo in Dolphin, or Disney's Car Care Center?

Hi everyone! We're staying at the Beach Club for the first time and planning on renting a car. Are there any advantages/disadvantages of renting from the Alamo at the Dolphin vs. the one at the Car Care Center?

On the map it looks like the Dolphin location is quite near the Beach Club, but I know maps can be deceiving. Can anyone please share how long it takes to walk from BC to the Dolphin?

You can take the boat from the BC to the Dolphin. It doesn't take long at all.

Personally, if you're staying at the Beach Club I would rent from the Dolphin. It's about a five minute walk from the Beach Club or you could take the boat (you'll walk about half way there anyway).

The main "drawback" is that you must pick-up the car from valet. After you finish at the check-in counter, you go to valet and they'll get the car from you and that might take a bit of time (10-15 minutes). Dropping off is really easy; just take it back to valet and they'll give you a receipt the date/time. I've always rented from the Alamo/National at the Dolphin and it's been easy.

Staying at the BC it's only about a 5 minute walk to the Dolphin so I definitely recommend renting from there. One thing to remember is the Dolphin Alamo/National counter is only open 8 - 4 so you'll need to plan your pick up within that time frame.

Just another thought: If the Friendship boat is at the BC/YC dock heading to DHS you could take that since its next stop will be the Swan/Dolphin, otherwise walking will be faster.

I've rented Alamo with pick up at the Dolphin and it was a piece of cake. No fuss and it was in the middle of July when very busy.
