Alamo Fullsize for $139 or Dollar Premium for $203?

I'm pretty sure I don't want the Dollar Fullsize for $148 that I've got booked....I'm 99% sure that will be a Taurus (I've asked about that in a separate thread, though) and I don't do Tauri.

We've used Dollar almost exclusively for the past several trips and have been generally happy and I kind of like the Chrysler 300's. (Premiums & Luxuries) With their Fastlane or whatever they're calling it now, it only takes a few minutes to get the car....

But I've got a reservation for an Alamo Fullsize (Impala or similar) for $139. I'm pretty sure the Impala will be more than big enough compared to the 300. So I'm looking for thoughts on how my experience at the rental counter might compare as well as how the cars (primarily their condition) might compare. $60 is $60, but a hassle or a dirty car with a lot of miles on it wouldn't be worth it to me....

Thanks!
Brett

We rented a mini van through Dollar last year. We used Fast Lane and it was just that. Went out to the garage to the booth to get the keys and my assigned van and they told me that they didn't have one and that I was getting a Lincoln towncar or something the equivalent there of. I booked and paid for a mini van inside and I wasn't leaving there without one. The attendant ended up getting a van from Virgin. The van was clean except for some minor stains on the carpet which I expected. The only other problem that I had was that the vans tags were expired so I was a little nervous there. I called Dollar and they said that I could take the van back to MCO and they would give me a new one or if I got a ticket they would pay for it. I opted to take my chances because I wasn't about to drive back to the airport. Anyway, would I rent from them again? YES.

What codes did you use for that rate? The best Alamo rate I have found so far is $147 for a midsize.
