Does anyone have any codes for Alamo or tricks for cheap rentals?? What is the quicksilver program?? Thank you. I'm trying for a minivan 5/13 - 5/25. Best I got so far is $440 with National.

Quicksilver is the frequent rental program. The information for QS is somewhat hidden on their website, but, it is there under the business tab.

Just a warning here, you cannot mix codes and coupons with ALAMO, they will reject them at the time of rental. They are very strict about this. So, unfortunately, you have to use a BJ's coupon with a BJ's code. I still don't understand why the website lets you do this.

I've never heard of that. That would be called a bait-and-switch, and it's highly illegal. And I can't believe that Alamo's web site would have such a huge hole in it when it works fine to prevent you from using expired codes or coupons, or codes or coupons that don't apply to the class of car you're reserving, or at a particular location.

I will be armed with a printed sheet showing the rate, and have the coupon and my BJs and Sams club cards in hand, so they better honor what they booked on the web site, or they will hear some noise from me when I get home!

Worst case scenario is that they wouldn't accept both together, and I would pay an extra $20 on my rental.

Here's a code for Alamo you can use on a Mini van. It's for $25 off a min 3 day rental. If you get a good rate with it, you will need to buy an entertainment book (which are 1/2 off right now) so you can use the coupon at pick up.

Be very careful. If you do leave it as it is, fine, but, be aware if you switch codes at the time of rental, you will pay the going rate at that time. They will treat it as a modified reservation and prices can change very quickly, especially for last minute modifications.
Why not make a reservation using the Sam's code and the Sam's coupon now, just in case?

Just in case you don't see your private messages. While making your reservation with Alamo online, on the reservation form, where it says "Rate/Product Code" type in "QVW".

This rate is good for rentals that are picked up by May 25th. So this code would be good for you both. It gives a great rate for Minivans.

Try this code instead: where it says "Rate/Product Code" type in "QVW." This should give you a pretty good rate.

This code is good for car rentals that are picked up by May 25th.
