Hi,

I have a car booked through Alamo for our upcoming WDW trip, and I reserved through Costco so I could get the discount and the free additional driver. My question is, am I still allowed to do the online check in or use the kiosk at the airport instead of waiting in the line to get my car? Last year I rented through Costco and waited in the line because I thought they would want to see my Costco card, but they never asked for it!

I'm hoping to just skip the line all together, but if I use online check in or the kiosk, is there a place that they let you add all the additional driver's info?

Also, if you do online check in, how does that work exactly? Do you just skip the line and the kiosk entirely and go out to the garage and pick out your car?

I know it's a lot of questions, but I'd REALLY like to skip the line, the person I talked to last year basically forced me to buy extra insurance and I didn't know at the time I didn't need it so I'd rather not deal with that at all! Online check in seems to be the way to go, but if I can't add my additional driver, then I guess there's no avoiding the line!

Thank you for any help you guys might have!!

I usually book through BJ's and always use the Kiosk and fill everything out online first. It is so easy.

Go to the kiosk, swipe the credit card you booked your reservation with. Follow the prompts, being sure to say no to any offers. Your receipt will print right there. Walk out to the garage, pick your car, and away you go.

They did ask for my BJ's card and coupon once at the booth in the garage so be sure to have ti handy when you are leaving the garage.

I never go to the counter with Alamo.

We have also rented from Costco many times. It can give great rates.

Yes, you can do on line check in and register both drivers (as long as you have the drivers license numbers) The information is verified at the kiosk.

YOu still have to do the kiosk with on line check in, but it's relatively seamless. The last time, they did not ask for my costco card, but I always have it available.

The last time I went, I was arriving a day before DH and I was picking up the car. I did on line check in - entered both drivers information, With me I had my Drivers license, Credit card, costco card and a copy of DH drivers license.
Went to the kiosk, The swipes can be a bit confusing, as I remember there's one place to swipe the credit card, and a different place you swipe your driviers license and and a different place to scan the bar codes on the reservation....I don't really remember exactly, but I do remember I ALMOST felt like I was going to have to find someone to help me, then I CAREFULLY read the directions (Amazing how that helps!:lmao: and payed attention to the pictures on the kiosk that shows you what to swipe and where, and ultimately, I had to enter in some information manually, but it was still only about 5 minutes at the kiosk, and then it was off to the garage to pick my car... Getting a minivan off the mid size aisle:woohoo:. When I left the garage they just asked for my drivers license and the tag off the car.

Thanks! I really did not like using the counter last year, the girl that worked there was soooo pushy with adding on extra things, like insurance and asking us 10 times if we wanted to upgrade our car! :lmao:

So if I do the online check in and enter all of our info, I still have to go to a kiosk when I get there, right? That seems easy enough! Thank you for the quick responses!

Just to clarify, you can't do on line check in. What you do instead is use SaveTime on line to enter all of your information ahead of time. Then use the kiosk when you get to MCO. On line check in allows you to skip the counter and the kiosk, but since you are using a coupon, you can't check in on line. Your e-mail confirmation will have a SaveTime button. Click that to use SaveTime.
