Alamo Car Rental on Property?

I know you can rent once you are on property at the Car Center.
Do you need to make reservations in advance or can you just call for a shuttle to pick you up?
What is the average cost for a day's rental? I am thinking we may rent to drive to waterparks and afterwards back to hotel and then on to Ft. Wilderness to keep from having to wait on busses, etc.

I always make advanced reservations. That way I can get the best rate by checking it weekly online. Daily costs can vary greatly, depending on demand and time of year, anywhere from $30-$100 (or more). I also like to pu/dropoff at the Dolphin - within walking distance of Epcot and MGM. Their office hours are 8am-4pm.

You can reserve online or by calling ahead of your trip. Or, if you decide while you're there, just call 24 hours in advance (front desk will put you through), and the shuttle will pick you up at your resort, then bring you back when you return the car.
