Alamo car rental in DTD

Just wondering how convenient this location is to use? We'll be arriving very early on a Sunday. I want to check in at the GCV, drop our bags (I know our villa won't be ready), return our rental car, and make rope drop or even MM if it's an MM day.

Do you see any obvious problems with this plan other than pure exhaustion at the end of the day?

Rereading my own post made me realize I might want to check the car in during our midday break. Problem is, with only 3 days, I'm not sure we'll break.

I think they only open around 9 AM or so. Last time we returned outside of office hours we just dropped the key and papers through their designated drop off slot. I wasn't really happy about this because it's really just a slot in the glass door and you clearly saw everything lying around on the floor. But seeing there were a couple of other keys already I decided to go along with the flow.
