Alamo at WDW Dolphin or Car Care Center

I'm thinking of renting a car only for a couple of days of our 11 day trip and considering using Alamo at the Dolphin or Car Care Center. We're staying at the Poly. How would we get to the Car Care Center to pick up the car and get back to the Poly when returning the car?

I think the Car Care Center will pick you up and take you back to your resort, as long as you take your car and leave your car during their hours. Most of the rental places operate from 8:00 to 4:00. You can leave a car there after hours, but would not have transportation home.

We have rented a car at the Dolphin from other resorts, and returned it after 4:00 with the valet people. We take the bus to the Studios and get on the boat (or walk) to the Dolphin. When you return the car, reverse the process. Also, there is bus service to the parks from the Dolphin. You could take a bus from there to the MK and monorail back to the Poly.

You would call the toll-free number on your reservation (or the hotel Operator and ask to be connected) to arrange for shuttle pickup. It's free. Prices aren't always the same at all locations; if the Dolphin is significantly cheaper than the CCC, take the bus to DHS and then walk or use the boat to the Dolphin.

Thanks for the info! Trying to decide if we should just rent a car for a day to pick up groceries, etc. after ME drops us off at the Poly or use Garden Grocer.

Use Garden Grocer or WeGoShop! Don't waste your valuable WDW vacation time grocery shopping. (Just my not-so-humble opinion.)

We rented a car from National to go to Vero Beach & the car care center sent a shuttle to pick us up. I agree with wdwrich - just use GG or WeGo and save your time & money. Car rentals are not as cheap as they used to be anyway. We have used GG before & it worked out just fine. Got beer delivered too and had everything left with Bell Services while we were at the parks.
