gmeh1, gotta question for you. I know you used to work for Alamo. In order for the additional driver to be free, do they have to have the same address on their driver licenses? I have a strange situation, in that I am still married and my husband and I are best friends and vacation together alot. However, we seperated 5 or 6 years ago and he lives at our old house, while I bought a new house about 45 minutes away. We are still legally married and spend alot of time at each others houses, but our driver licenses have our respective addresses on them and we just happen to own two houses now. I know we have a really strange relationship, but for some reason it works.
We get along alot better living in seperate houses. We'll be renting a midsize car from Alamo when we are down there in two weeks. I booked using my alamo Insider, Costco ID, and Visa coupon. My insurance agent is aware of our situation and I have him on my car insurance, but just want to make sure him driving the rental car won't be problem, if we happen to get into a wreck (we both have clean driving records though, so not expecting a problem).
