The thing that bothers me is that there will be such a large gap of time in between when Aladdin leaves and the Toy Story Musical debuts. Aladdin is out of there in August but Toy Story doesn't debut until sometime in the spring of 2011, if I recall. I would think they would want some kind of 'replacement' attraction, show or exhibit in the Hyperion in the interim, but it doesn't appear that way. I think it is ill-planned. They should have Toy Story start a bit closer to when the Toy Story 3 movie comes out in the summer.
You know, I have not seen the Toy Story musical on the Cruise lines so I have no idea what I am in for, but it seems to me that Aladdin was good for a few reasons, not the least among them being the fact that the Genie's over-the-top role allowed a host of current, topical references from today's headlines and the adults could relate to that. So you could hear Balloon Boy jokes one week, Tiger Woods jokes the next week and then Jay-Conan-NBC jokes more recently. Will there be a character in Toy Story who can rattle off all kinds of Tiger Woods jokes?

Who would it be? The Genie's manic energy and wry delivery of lines was perfect for that kind of thing.
Also, there are no other rides or attractions centered around Aladdin in DLR (unless I just totally blanked out on something in my old age!

), so this show provided a good Aladdin presence in the absence of any kind of ride, whereas we already have the TSMM ride in DCA and Buzz Lightyear in DL...and now we are getting the Toy Story musical as well. Now I
LOVE Toy Story - it ranks right up there with Finding Nemo for me as my favorite of the Disney/Pixar films - in fact, I wish we had a whole Toy-Land somewhere in DLR. But I think it may, possibly, be a mistake to take away the one and only Aladdin-centered attraction to add yet another Toy Story attraction.
I would not at all be shocked if Aladdin ends up returning to DLR by popular demand down the road. Not to say that people won't enjoy the Toy Story musical, but it has big shoes to fill because Aladdin was so top-notch in humor and entertainment.
