I'm not familiar with how the FP's are working for this show. Does anyone have a general idea as to how quickly the FP's run out, and/or when the FP's for a particular show time have been becoming available?

Also, do they let any "stand by" people in if the theater isn't full? Or is it FP only?

Wow, we have never seen FPs used for Aladdin, I guess since it's been announced it is ending it must have become a big draw? We will miss it during our next trip but glad we got to enjoy it the last three.

I can't really give you a sense of how quickly the fastpasses run out. The CM on New Year's Eve told me to check back at around 2 PM for the 3:30 show, but if I had done that I think I wouldn't have gotten my fastpass. I got mine earlier than 2 PM, and they had moved on to distribution for the later show by 2-something when I happened to be passing by again. While New Year's Eve doesn't seem like a normal crowd pattern kind of day, honestly, it really wasn't a crazy, packed kind of day at DCA that day. Most people were in DL.

There was a standby line when we were there. I don't know how many people got in that way, but it was not an insignificant number of people that were allowed in through the standby section.

Thanks -- it's very helpful to know that standby is possible!

We were there Jan 1. Got there about 15 mins before showtime. Got in the standby line, and there were still people behind us. We sat at the very top. I don't think we've ever sat in that section before.

My friend and I went on Monday afternoon and there were no more fast passes for either the 4 and 6pm shows. CM told us we had a 50% of getting in by being in the Standby line. We stood in the Standby line for about 50 minutes for the 6pm show and were able to get good seats at the balcony level. I have never sat in that level before. I think the lines for Standby will be longer as there are only 3 days left for the show and many fans may want to watch the show multiple times.
