Aladdin Show Preferred seating?

I saw the Aladdin show a couple of years ago at DL and it was awesome! I think I remember there were 2 different lines before the show and 1 of them was a preferred or priority seating.

Does anyone know how you get to do this?

We got this perk when buying tickets through AAA back in 2010 for our honeymoon. Also came with some other bonuses and a small savings book. Unsure if that is still the case with AAA or even possibly Costco packages but that was my experience.

Truthfully though we have been on every level and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

I was thinking AAA may have that benefit. Thanks for the info! I will probably get the Southern CA City Pass but normally would do AAA.

I got priority seating with my Welcome to Disneyland Tour which was $20 ($25 without AP discount).

You also get to get Priority Seating if you are disabled.

I am sure there are other ways too but those are the 2 ways I know.

The wife books all our DL vacations thru Walt Disney Travel Company(they usually have the best deals if staying on property). Priority seating is one of the many perks we receive booking thru them.

What is the welcome to Disneyland tour? How and where did you get this? I have never heard of it.

In October we got it by chance. A super nice CM saw us in the stroller area and was directing us where to park. DS4 started to get out of the stroller and I was in the process of moving it so he fell. He was fine. CM saw and then noticed his birthday button so she asked him if he wanted special seats. She lead us to the priority seating. There was hardly anyone waiting. We got first row, dead center. It was AWESOME! All the animals in the show came right up to both my boys and they loved it! By far the most special thing we have gotten in the parks

I would be interested in finding out more about preferred seating as well. My DS6 is afraid of heights, so we will need to get in line super early to get a seat on floor level. When I was there in March I got in line about 20min before the show and was in the nose bleed seats up in the highest balcony. I could still see fine, but there is no way my son would sit up there! Any other suggestions besides getting in line super early?

I got preferred seats from booking a package with through Walt Dinsey Travel Company at a good neighbor hotel. It was in our booklet (like the WDW one with all the freebies). My friend and I had the passes from the package, but my Sister who just booked a room and tickets did not. We inquired and they let her in with us, which was great because the seats were fantastic!

Got preferred seating once when my DD knew the CM. Very different perspective being so close. We could see the sweat on the actor's bodies. I still prefer the orchestra, first row after the walk way. It's easier to see the carpet fly from the balcony though.

There are normally 3 lines other than preferred. You dont need to get there "super early" to get a spot on the lower level. I have never had an issue arriving 10 minutes before. Just to be sure maybe get there 20 minutes early.

This. The lines are (basically) for the floor level, front balcony, and rear balcony. PPers are right, most seats are great seats. The magic carpet view from every upstairs seat is pretty awesome. (Better than craning your neck from the orchestra level!)

They did. The booklets through AAA, Costco and WDTC no longer contain Preferred Seating vouchers.

We arrived 10 minutes before showtime on a recent Sunday afternoon. We got in the Orchestra line, and ended up with 2nd row center seats. It was hard to see the flying carpet, but otherwise, a great view!

From my experience the best seats in the house are at front of the second level. But any seats towards the front of the second level are great.

Second level because I don't like to have to turn around when the show goes into the audience.

When I went in mid-March, I got in line 20min before the show started. I saw the 3 lines, but the first 2 lines were already blocked off and the CMs were directing everyone to the 3rd line, which was the highest balacony seating. This was on a hot, busy Sunday afternoon and they actually started letting us all in early and allowed people to take drinks in because it was so hot out. It was in the mid-90s that day, so maybe that's why it was so crowded, people just wanted some A/C!

Our next trip will be the weekend after Thanksgiving, probably another busy weekend, so that's why I'm thinking I would need to show up earlier than 20min before showtime to get orchestra level seating. I personally did not mind the balcony (great veiw of the magic carpet), but like I said, my son is scared of heights so will not sit up there.

If you go on the DL website and look at their tours it should be there. It is only $25 and you get extra fastpasses as well as the priority seating to Aladdin or Mickey's Magical Map.

It is only offered 3 days a week I believe. You should reserve a spot ahead to be certain you can get in the tour but it is possible to walk up that AM and see if there is still room.
