Aladdin Show in DCA

Agreed, all the seats are great, different perspectives. It is worth mentioning, though, that if someone in your party has limited mobility issues, you want to line up early for the first floor, otherwise there are stairs to deal with. :goodvibes

But they do have an elevator so even if you have someone with mobility issues you can still sit in the Mezz and have a great view. :)

Jenn, what do you mean the show ending? It runs all the time, they just run less shows in the off season.

We will have DD (almost age 3) with us. She is newly potty trained. Are there bathrooms in case she needs to go half way through the show? I have read in here that little ones enjoy this show; just wondered how people handle the potty situation. TIA!

This is one thing I hate about the Hyperion theater. No Bathrooms!! My young ds had a potty emergency during one of the best parts and my dh had to take him outside of the building to a restroom. It took a while, and was pretty frustrating. We haven't seen the Aladdin show in about 3 years, so they may have changed this. But if not, make sure you have her potty right before and be prepared for a hike if she has to go during.

Does anyone have more info on the show ending? I really wanted to see it again in Dec.
I can't even remember where I read it, I'm sorry! I didn't sub to the thread atm. It was probably my own form of denial! :lmao:

I know it was here within the last three weeks, and the thread was talking about people hoping that 'when' they replace Aladdin that it should be with HSM...*sigh* :headache: I know there are a lot of fans, I am not trying to upset anyone or be rude, but I truly hope this doesn't happen. I think the long standing shows should be based on stories that have a universal appeal, not shows that cater to a very select audience. IMO. :goodvibes

I hadn't even read that thread. hmmmm, interesting. I would think they would leave Aladdin, it's soooo popular. They could feaibly do 2 different shows on that stage though, it would definitely be possible.

it's been long rumored that Aladdin was getting replaced. there was a time it was dark for several months (in 2006?) that was supposed to signal the end of it. I think it was something to do with casting issues.

We saw the show a couple weeks ago and there still are no bathrooms in the theater. You have to trek your way down the stairs and outside to the nearest bathroom. Maybe your family can go in as soon as the doors open and save you and your child two seats so your child can use the restroom right before the show starts. Then you can go in and join your family and not have to worry about having to leave or a possible accident!
