Aladdin show at CA

What is the secret to getting in to see Aladdin? Just get in line early? We're never able to get in. We're hoping to see Aladdin and the Snow White show during our trip in March.

We got in line for Aladdin tickets almost as soon as the park opened. We were in that line for a good 1.5 hours. (well, DH stood in line while DD and I wandered around a bit---most families do the same). Finally got the tickets for a show much later in the afternoon. Stood in line to get into the show for another hour or so later that day. Tip--get in the shortest line, every seat is pretty good. It was quite good, the auditorium is larger than I thought it was and so held lots of people. Snow White obviously wasn't on last year when we were there, but I assume the procedure is much the same.

Yup- the advice is just do the plop and wait. In March you wont have Tower as a factor so you should be good with a 45-hour wait-

As for Snow- the theatre is much smaller than the Hyperion so Id also do a hour wait-

You waited in line for 1 1/2 hours, just to be able to wait for a seat for another hour?

Was this during a peak time?

Even during non-peak times, DL sounds a lot more crowded than WDW. I'm going in late April, and it's stories like this that have me not too excited about going.

Was the show worth the wait?

It was during spring break last year, March. Keep in mind that DCA is *never* as busy as DL, except for a few attractions. The Aladdin show is *very* popular and if you want tickets, you need to line up early in the day. One other thing that everyone rushes to get fast passes for in DCA is Soarin' over California (an excellent ride, so fast passes are gone early). A lot of people will go into DCA to get tickets/fast passes, then head back over to DL--remember it's just across the plaza. DCA is much better than it used to be, but DL is still better.

Even though we were there at spring break, we got to go on every ride we wanted to, many times. That Aladdin line was the longest one we faced the entire time.

In late April, you are avoiding Spring breaks and Easter week, so you should be just fine! Your trip will be well worth it!

I am concerned about the lines at WDW!

To the best of my knowledge last year they were handing out fastpasses(tickets) for the shows and everyone would snag them early. They do not do that anymore. You just line up for the next show. We were there in the first week of December and waited in line for the first show for about 35-40 minutes and I don't think it filled up all the way. When you enetr the park ask at information what the lines are like for the show. You may be able to enter the line 15 minutes before the doors open and still get an okay seat.

We're leaving for DL on March 9th. Our must-sees are the Aladdin and Snow White shows. Where do you line up to get the tickets? Outside the theatres that they are playing in?

I guess we've been lucky we've never had to wait that long. Even last december 4 days after Christmas!(and it was packed!) We walked right in as the line was already moving and got great seats in the mezzanine area(my fave area). We did the same thing last July, May and in last April(5 days before Easter)I think we waited maybe 15 minutes or so.

Aladdin is most defitnely a must see!

Does anyone know if certin times of the day are less busy then other times? Like if it's better to see the first show then the last? Thanks

We saw the show on Feb. 20. In the morning, a cast member was standing outside the theatre and we asked if we needed tickets. She said you just had to line up 45 minutes before showtime. We did that and actually ended up in a priority seating line by accident. We didn't have priority seating vouchers and I have no idea how you get them, but a nice cast member let us stay there anyway and we got 5th row center!!! They were awesome seats, but the balcolny seats would have given us a better view of some of the special effects.

I didn't realize you had to have seperate tickets for these shows! Is the priority seating the ones you get when you book a package with Disney land Travel where it says you get best seating? Do the tickets cost extra then? Thanks.
